3D artist attempts to show that Unreal Engine 4 can top CRYENGINE’s Jungle/Forest environments

It’s well known that CRYENGINE has powered some of the best Jungle/Forest environments to date. However, Unreal Engine 4 is an engine that can easily come close to – or even top – them. Following the incredible environments from Unreal Engine member ‘koola’, 3D artist ‘Dimitrius Tott’ has showcased some awesome forest environments in Unreal Engine 4. These environments look amazing, and will give you an idea of what developers can achieve with Epic’s engine. Enjoy!

  1. Cry engine lost the top graphics a long time ago. God remember the ” can my pc run Crysis meme?

  2. BAHAHAHA LMAO This looks like shit compared to Cryengine’s forests. Here’s why: The shadows are almost pitch black so no GI, the only screenshots that looked good were the closeups of the textures, which will always look good if they use PBR. The tree leaves look like ass (no realistic specular highlights). Here are some cryengine screenshots for comparison. LMAO this is embarrassing.
