Modder ‘TheKetzku’ has created an amazing mod for Fallout 3 that improves the lighting inside all buildings. If you’re planning to play Fallout 3 again, you should definitely get this mod – it’s a must-have. It’s one of those mods you must use for this classic Fallout game.
The modder says that ATMOS – Interior Lighting Overhaul adds special improvements to the lighting in the game. It makes the lighting look better by adding things like global illumination, bloom, and emissive tweaks to the game’s environments. This means that the insides of buildings in the game now have twice as much lighting nodes.
Here’s what exactly TheKetzku did with this mod. He split the lights into two types: one is the main light, and the other is an indirect bounce light. This makes the game look even better with new static global illumination. The modder also changed the colors in the game to match the lighting in different places. Plus, he made sure special effects like mist and light rays look just right.

Speaking of Fallout 3, we also suggest taking a look at these other mods for it. This AI-enhanced HD Texture Pack will improve the quality of all of the game’s textures. Then we have this mod that adds a Hardcore Mode to the game. Let’s also not forget Tale of Two Wastelands which seamlessly merges Fallout 3 and its DLCs into Fallout New Vegas.
Have fun!

I don’t know why people love to graphically mod Bethesda games, whatever you do they always look ugly as sh*t
It looks like most of what he’s done is tweak the contrast and the lighting colors, and made some of the lights not cast as far. You can do most of that with ReShade.
He just made the game darker so now you cant see sht.
there is a different between Realistic and Believable, if being Realistic means being dark as $hit, i personally want something artistic and sorta Relatable. and now UE5 games want to be ultra realistic and they all look bland and blurry.
Looks great while putting Starfailed to shame.
Spoiler : in non RT games the lamps are not thought to provide a decent lighting.
You have to add some sources and/or a bit of global illumination.
It’s not a must have, it’s a must avoid
mind-blowing
