A few days ago, Bethesda released a brand new patch for Starfield. According to the release notes, Title Update 1.12.30 introduces Creations to the game. Moreover, it adds a new Trackers Alliance mission, the bounty scanner system, new melee weapon tiers, and the ability to modify melee weapons.
Going into more details, Creations will allow you to access and play new content in Starfield. Creations may include new missions, gear, skins, weapons, and more. It’s also worth noting that Creations will allow for paid mods/missions. In fact, Bethesda has already put a mission behind a paywall, which is kind of hilarious.
The first mission of Trackers Alliance, The Starjacker, is available for free. However, its second mission, The Vulture, is behind a paywall in Creations. Yep, Bethesda is charging for simple missions.
Now I know that some of you might be disappointed by this. However, with the Creation Kit (which is available now on PC), modders will be able to create a lot of free missions. And, if you are still unhappy with this, you should simply stop playing the game. I mean, it’s not like Bethesda promised to give away all of the game’s future missions for free. It sucks but they didn’t make such a promise. So, you can’t say that they sold you a lie. And as I’ve said before, there is no point complaining online for an “X” game while you’re still playing it. If you are not happy with something, vote with your wallet and your time. There are so many games out there.
Anyway, as I said, the June 9th patch also introduces the bounty scanner system. This will enable you to seek and destroy those targets with bounties on their heads.
Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its complete changelog.

Morning fella, tldr, do we know if they have fixed any of the major issues with the game in this update, like adding a buggy for planet exploring, or the ability to skip landing/take off anims, or settlement maps. Or are we going to have to wait for modders fix all of those…
Nope, none of them have been implemented.
<sigh> fair enough, I'll wait for the game to go on sale and for the modders then.
Starfield is TRASH.

see thats the thing john, morrowind has more actual content than starfield and it was made by 40 peopl not 200 plus tons of studios they hired to outsource stuff. Starifled has pathetic amount of content and they charge you 7 bucks for some trash radiant quests? The modders? The modders have sold out, they only make mods for starfield for money , because the game sucks and no one cares, its dead jim.
one day itll be in great shape, sad that we have to wait.
Nothing short of a complete overhaul in all aspects can fix this game. You're honestly better off just skipping this altogether.
What do you think needs to be changed or completely overhauled that they could actually do? I liked some of what I played like 3/4ths of the faction questlines and portions of the main one but after that I was really left wanting more of that.
-better story
-better setting
-better characters
-better main questline
-choices
-killeable characters
-tons and tons of faction quests
-tons of good sidemissions not the fetch quests
-more variety of planet
-more populates planets
-vehicles
-better weapon designs
-better combat
-remove the bulletsponges
-better ui
-better ships
-better space combat
-actual space exploration
-more space exploration content
-more space stations and towns
-trading economy
-faction wars
-space station building
-mechs
-underwater swimming
-zero gravity in space
-better base building
-more variety in dungeons since the game uses the same buildings in main quest, side quest sand radiant crap
-ALIENS
i could go on, only a total conversion can save this.
That is a whole other game.
exactly
Well tbf some of that is being added sooner and I think a lot more will be addressed by mods and expansions as they mostly have been in the past titles. I do feel sorry if you feel you wasted your time with the title. Personally I think more stuff with the factions would be the best. They do such a good job with the Rangers, the Pirates and Ryujin and they just end with nothing else except some loose bounties and its really jarring.
“. They do such a good job with the Rangers, the Pirates and Ryujin ”
my dude have you ever played morrowind?
The factions require you to have your skills at a specific level so you can raise your faction rank to access new missions, which are many of them, far more than starfield and they are varied and you get missions from different characters in different guild hq’s in different cities. Some missions require you to kill members of another guild so you cant join them and the final ones require you to take our the leader of a opposing guild. Meanwhile in skyrim and starfield you can become the archmage without knowing how to cast magic after doing missions for them for less than two hours.
Sadly its another title I have been meaning to play but its technical age has kept me from giving a try in recent years. I think its fair to say that at a base level the factions are fine but as you state they could be much better. Those kinds of quests do sound very interesting and while definitely more on rails than MW, I think Starfield does a fair job to give a similar feeling at least with the Ryujin and Pirate faction questlines. I know I felt a huge dissonance when I finished the pirates faction quest and started the vanguard quest and everything was fine with me joining what is essentially a sister faction to the pirates biggest enemies. Btw, I did check out the doom mods you suggested the other day and man its crazy the ingenuity and vision that single people can have in crafting experiences but without having the full resources of a whole studio behind them.
meanwhile bethesda has over 200 people working in starfield.
hopefully they’re working to make it better or the game it should have been lol
Story, lore, characters, gameplay, graphics, art style, music, sound effects. Like I said, complete overhaul.
damn lol, can only be sorry you wasted your time then. Again, i didnt hate what I played but I do hope a lot of it gets vastly improved.
Oh I didn't play it myself. Watched parts of a playthrough by someone else. It was more than enough to put me off from ever playing that slop.
lol, I hear that. All my friends who watched me play thought it was a snooze fest outside of the 3 decent faction quest lines. Then my friends who dropped it I just couldnt blame them because I think a lot of people expected much better than what was dropped.
Have they added fun to the game yet?
