GSC GameWorld has released Title Update 1.7.1 for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl and shared its full patch notes. So, let’s see what this new update brings to the table.
Patch 1.7.1 introduces a fail-safe mechanism for cases where mod incompatibility prevents users from launching title. It also fixes several issues with dead zone settings for the DualSense controller. Plus, it resolves a number of crashes. As such, STALKER 2 should now be more stable on your PC system.
Update 1.7.1 also comes with a number of bug fixes. For instance, it fixes an issue that could cause artifacts to spawn under the ground. It fixes an issue where the player could sprint while overweighted with loot, and it fixes an issue where the power lines could disappear on approach. Moreover, it fixes an issue where the player could use weapon attachments from the trade window.
The STALKER 2 Patch 1.7.1 also brings some visual improvements. For example, it fixes the strange shadows on Skif’s hands during the Back to the Slag Heap cutscene. It also fixes a problem where the graphics settings could show the wrong values after using auto-detect or reset. Another big fix is that the update removes a huge performance drop that happened when opening the PDA while the Shadows setting was set to Epic.
Like always, Steam will download Patch 1.7.1 the next time you launch its client. Below, you can also find its complete changelog. It’s relatively small, so be sure to check it out.
