KRAFTON has released Update 36.1 for PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS on PC. This update makes big changes to the Ranked system and gives players early access to the 2025 Black Market. It also improves game balance and adds helpful features to make the game better for both serious and casual players. To celebrate, the team has shared a new trailer you can watch below.
Patch 36.1 adds two new Ranked tiers: Crystal and Survivor. Survivor is now the highest rank in the game. More changes have been made to give players more choices and strategy. Duo Mode is now available everywhere. Ranked Points and tiers are now the same for all team types (Duo or Squad) and all views (FPP or TPP). Rewards for Ranked Points have also been changed based on what players asked for. Some features that used to only be in Normal Matches, like the Recall System, Red Zone, BRDM-2 vehicle, Tactical Pack, and Zipline Gun, are now in Ranked mode too.
Update 36.1 makes big changes to some weapons. The AUG and VSS now do different damage and feel different to use. Some guns will now appear on all maps. These include the VSS, Mini14, Sawed-Off, SCAR-L, S12K, and Vector. Other guns will only show up on certain maps. For example, the Win94 is only on Karakin, the G36C is only on Vikendi, and the QBU is only on Sanhok. The DP-28 is only on Paramo, the PP-19 Bizon only on Erangel, and the Mosin Nagant only on Deston.
Patch 36.1 also makes several changes to improve the game. Now, all vehicles use the same controls, and reverse speeds are slower. The menus and screens (UI) are easier to use. There are also more free rewards. A big change is that you can now buy some items using either G-Coin or BP, making it easier for everyone to get what they want. These updates are meant to make the game more fun and fair for all players.
