New Monster Hunter Rise Update will bring NVIDIA DLSS, Classic Filter & Detailed Photo Mode

Capcom has detailed an upcoming update for Monster Hunter Rise that will release on June 30th, and will be 22GB in size. According to the release notes, the June 30th Patch will add support for NVIDIA DLSS, and will introduce a Classic Filter and a Detailed Photo Mode.

The June 30th Update will be mostly dedicated to the game’s upcoming expansion. Thus, if an item has the ? symbol next to it, that means you can only access this content with the purchase of the expansion. So keep that in mind when reading the changelog.

Now the good news is that the aforementioned features will be available to everyone. Moreover, Capcom has added new vibration types 1 to 3, and added a new Display option (Adjust Position of Ultra-wide Menu).

As always, Steam will download this patch once it becomes available. Below you can also find its complete changelog.

  1. CAPCOM had stated, a while back, that they were going to be more PC-centric and lately, CAPCOM has fulfilled that commitment and then some compared to other conSLOW-centric Japanese devs.

That being said, I just can’t get into the Monster Hunter series because of the awful anime/cartoony 80s-look. I get that MH had started off heavy on mobile platforms at first and whatnot but today, the MH franchise has evolved to something 30x much bigger than its OG roots. MH needs a hyper-realism upgrade fast for its next installment and it is just best to have two versions (like what other devs do) for its mobile dominance users and another version for more advanced architectures.

    1. Monster Hunter first started on PS2, it has nothing to do with mobile platforms, unless you count Switch as mobile. Also, Monster Hunter World is “realistic” enough, it even got texture packs.

      1. I don’t know, but in my opinion, Monster Hunter do look a little out of place today, though, especially knowing that Monster Hunter is Capcom biggest segment today.

      2. PC = never enough visual fidelity, MoCap/collision greatness, etc.

ConSLOW = who gaf! Even spit taste good. ?

    2. fulfilled that commitment? Just look at the recently released RE 7 and RE 2, 3 remake nExT GeN updates. BS SSR (it is now even more broken than it was before), low res RT Reflections, weird color imbalance and last but not the least, horrible performance on the D3D12 API. Capcom is all mouth and no work.

  2. Maybe they can fix the broken TAA now in this/RE8/new RE7/2r/3r versions or at least add DLSS to those?
