At CitizenCon 2953, Cloud Imperium revealed some cool Ray Tracing Global Illumination (RTGI) effects that are on the way to Star Citizen and Squadron 42. And, we’ve got a video to show you these effects in action. In the video, you’ll see lots of scenes with RTGI and without it. This will give you a good idea of what to look forward to.

New Cyberpunk 2077 HD Texture Pack attempts to improve the quality of most major/main NPCs

Modder “Keen” released a cool new mod for Cyberpunk 2077. Keen made a fancy HD Texture Pack that makes the game’s main NPCs look way better. This pack cranks up the quality of their textures to a super sharp 4K resolution. How did he do it? Well, Keen used some smart AI tricks as well as some manual fine-tuning in photo-editing software.

Cities Skylines 2 developers target 30fps and not 60fps, even on the latest and greatest high-end PCs

A few days ago, we shared some early benchmarks for Cities Skylines 2. In those benchmarks, an Intel Core i9 13900KS with an AMD Radeon RX 7900XTX struggled to run the game at 4K/High Settings. And in a recent Reddit AMA, the developers claimed that their target is 30fps and not 60fps, even on PC. Half-Life 2: VR Mod – Unleashed is now available for download

Vittorio Romeo recently released an upgraded version of the Half-Life 2 VR Mod. It is called Half-Life 2: VR Mod – Unleashed, and it’s a must-have for all VR gamers. This new version brings some awesome VR features, like being able to hold and use two weapons at once, doing cool melee attacks, and even having a virtual stock.
