Watch_Dogs – Modders Partially Enable Parallax Occlusion Mapping, Still A WIP Project

Our reader ‘Dirty Dan’ has shared with us an image, showing parallax occlusion mapping being used in Watch_Dogs. In case you didn’t know, POM was used in a number of screenshots prior to the game’s release, but was disabled in the final version. Dirty Dan was able to partially re-enable it, though as he told us this is still a premature attempt. It will be interesting to see whether this effect will be properly re-enabled but until then, enjoy the following image showing this feature in full effect.

  1. People are totally overusing SweetFX. Such sharpness level does not make it more appealing, and if you can’t see that you have your aesthetics messed up.
