Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is free to play this weekend, until November 24th

Fatshark has announced that Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will be free to play on Steam this weekend. From today and until November 24th, PC gamers will be able to download and play the game for free

Martin Wahlund, Fatshark’s CEO, said:

“We are excited to bring Steam users the chance to play Vermintide 2. This will be a good opportunity to get into the battle and help the heroes fend off the Skaven and Chaos hordes.”

Free Weekenders can also play all DLCs if they are invited by another player who owns the game and DLC. Fatshark will also have a Free Weekend Sale on the game, giving new players 75% off throughout the whole Free Weekend period.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is a melee action game that according to its devs pushes the boundaries of the first person co-op genre. Set during the apocalyptic End Times of the Warhammer world – the game introduces the dark, bloody and twisted forces of Chaos as an enemy faction. Other new features include 15 hero careers, new environments, talent trees and the proprietary Heroic Deeds System.

You can download the game from here.

  1. I haven’t played in a while, but I read that the expansion messed up the game good.

I really liked it, was great until you get a full legendary gear and nothing really feels like anything. Same old same old.

      1. Well. the gameplay and maps are always the same, and once you got your full legendary gear, it just doesn’t feel like there’s any point to the game.
