Vanquish – Patch 1.02 is now available to everyone

Little Stone Software has released a new patch for the PC version of Vanquish. According to the release notes, this patch fixes an issue where events would occasionally fail to trigger at high frame rates and fixes an issue where scripted events would progress at the wrong speed at higher frame rates.

Furthermore, this patch corrects the Lock-on laser damage and target lock-on timing for higher framerates, and adds the “-audio 2” command line.

This patch will be auto-downloaded from Steam, and you can read its complete changelog below.

Vanquish Patch 1.02 Release Notes:

  • Lock-on laser damage corrected for frame rate.
  • Lock-on laser target lock-on timing corrected for frame rate.
  • Fixed the sliding particle effect for frame rate.
  • Fixed an issue where events would occasionally fail to trigger at high frame rates (e.g. the end of Act 1 Mission 6).
  • Fixed animation issues when running towards the camera and firing/reloading with keyboard and mouse.
  • Fixed an issue where scripted events would progress at the wrong speed at higher frame rates.
  • Added “-audio 2” command line; enter the number of a specific audio device to force the game to use that rather than the default device (may help players with audio device issues).

  1. Such a great year for PC so many great games and so many great ports, it is just GREAT!

  2. Really impressed by Little Stone’s work here. More companies should give them their games to port on PC.

  3. Way better than Bayonetta’s month and a half long patch wait (and NieR’s 2.5 month gap with no patch at all…still!)

    1. That sucks I was hoping to get Nier after the amazing reviews in the next steam sale but oh well.

  4. This got fixed far faster than Bayo did, especially considering Nier still has yet to be sorted out proper…
