Remember Hyper Scape? You know, Ubisoft’s battle royale game? Well, the French company has just revealed that it will be shutting down its servers on April 28th.
Hyper Scape came out on July 12th, 2020. This basically means that the game will be shut down one and a half years after its launch.
Hyper Scape was an urban futuristic free-to-play Battle Royale where 100 Contenders engaged in FPS close-quarters and fast-paced matches to become the next global superstar.
In Hyper Scape, players explored Neo Arcadia’s streets and rooftops for “intense firefights, cat-and-mouse chases, and unprecedented verticality.” The game supported both solo and squad modes. Furthermore, it had various customization options, new gameplay opportunities, and map changes.
And that is that. This is yet another game that tried to copy other successful titles of its genres. And, to be honest, I never really enjoyed Hyper Scape. Let’s hope that Ubisoft will not f’ up its other franchises (I know, I know… too late for that…).

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. WTF is Hyper Scape?
“Remember Hyper Scape?”
No
what ?
Lol more like Hyper Flop
Oh no!
Anyway …
Ubisoft did it again ????
3 people will sure be disappointed
More like Hyper Barren.
Never heard of this game.
Unknown garbage game aside, I can’t imagine how anyone would welcome a “service” future, where games are arbitrarily dismissed by corporations, at their discretion.
I totally get the sentiment, but the kind of game that gets shut down is irredemeable derivative garbage. If an actual high profile game for some reason shuts down, them people would be more concerned.
Zoomers are literally being raised upon live services. It’s the norm for them. They accept the current industry climate like good little CONSOOMER sheep.
hahahahahahahahahahahaha
I’d rather have Apex legends shut down. Or that other s**t game from Epic, forgot its name.
Fortnite? Yeah, but those games still bring money and audience.

yes but xdefiant is totally gonna work out you guys.
You know after shutting down ghost recon phantoms i decided never to play any of these games unless its been out since forever, i am not investing time in things that can get shut down.
jesus christ ubisoft will never learn. Filling their games with shallow “to do list” type of content. Nothing memorable no good characters, same copy paste formula for 10 years. Then they go and slap 20 drms on top, their games run like sh*t and sell like sh*t too because of the former. Then sony releases a good port on steam without drm and sells like hot cakes. They just choose to ignore consumers at this point
I mean, that’s how Destiny 2 is and they just conned sony out of $4B. If the game is actually good, people will cope with the BS
“Remember Hyper Scape? ”
Who?
Never heard of it either lol.
This is what happens when you don’t take care of your player base. Ubisoft will never learn. They have more failures than successes. Sure they’re like a multi billion company but if they keep putting out shovel wares to consumers eventually people will just get tired of this crap.
Heavy aim assist for controller players on PC, I hear. watch out, Halo Infish1t, you’re next.
“Remember Hyper Scape?”
Me: Never heard of that title.
And this is why I DON’T PLAY online games. I will never invest time in them.
