Thekla has released the official PC requirements for The Witness. According to them, the game will run on a toaster (as it only requires an Intel HD 4000 series and a CPU that is clocked at 1.8Ghz). The Witness releases next month on Steam, and you can view its full PC requirements below.

- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: GeForce 780
- DirectX: Version 10
- Storage: 4 GB available space

Unfortunately it wont have VR support at launch hence why the requirements are low. So I don’t mind waiting a bit longer.
Still not sure we are ready for VR anyways. Need like dual 980ti’s just to barely be able to game on it or run your games on med which makes it pointless anyways. Most people won’t be able to even get it.
I’m not worried about that since Nvidia Pascal is out very soon. I’ll be buying one or two of those new video cards when I also get an Oculus Rift.
A single 980 Ti will likely be plenty to run most games in VR at decent settings…
