The first Dead Space game is now available for free on Origin for a limited time

Electronic Arts is currently offering for free the first Dead Space game on Origin. This is not a free-to-play offer, meaning that PC gamers can get a free full version of this classic horror game. As such, we strongly suggest downloading it while you still can.

All you have to do is head over to the game’s official Origin page and acquire your free copy.

In Dead Space, players step into the role of engineer Isaac Clarke – an ordinary man on a seemingly routine mission to fix the communications systems aboard a deep space mining ship. It is not long before Isaac awakes to a living nightmare when he learns that the ship’s crew has been ravaged by a vicious alien infestation. He must fight through the dead silence and darkness of deep space to stay alive.

Have fun!

  1. The BEST Horror game in this entire series, with excellent “Voice Acting” as well.

I already have this game, but don’t miss this opportunity, if you haven’t played this title yet. Great creepy atmosphere, with twisted enemy creatures.

    1. THe best in the series BUT the difficulity settings are crap, you increase difficulity and weapons become trash, enemies take too many hits to die. Instead of that they should have gave you less ammo.

Other than that its awesome. The second game decided to focus more on aciton cinematics like uncharted, less horror more action and less engineering, the game is so much more linear it doesnt feel like a space station that you go back and fourth to complete objectives. Then there is dead space 3 which is….. microtransactions, coop, a awful combat system and enemies look more generic, too repettive it drags on and on and and on and while dead space 2 had few audiologs, dead space 3 barely has any audio logs at all.

          1. Hmmm….It’s not about the Game’s difficulty setting actually.

I just prefer playing most of my Games with FULL cheats enabled, as much as possible.

This might sound stupid/strange to you and others, but I’m just a casual/noob/unskilled player (even worse than that), and I find it very hard to beat most of the Games, if not all.

With Cheats enabled, I don’t have to worry much about the player’s Health, Weapon Ammo and other game factors.

By doing this, I can easily concentrate and relax more on the story-line, and graphics.

Even though Cheating might take away the Game’s realism, as some may argue on this factor, but I don’t prefer challenges. I play games just for fun.

Some games can really get frustrating for me, if the player keeps on dying again and again, and runs out of ammo, haha !

    1. Like the misleading Xbox exclusive DLC to get the green helmet lights, such as in this picture. I hate that they never released those pre-order DLC’s on PC but as usual we are the victim of the trash console market.

  2. One the scariest games I’ve ever played! Unfortunately I wasn’t PC gaming until later years but I did play this on 360 (age 12). Such tense and screaming nights taking turns playing this with my brother!

It really redefined horror genre just like Resident Evil upon its release. Such a travesty how EA literally destroyed this series. Same way Crapcom destroyed RE when they also went the “action over horror” route.

  3. They didn’t ruin the series. Stop being ignorant and stop being bad at life.

    1) EA made this series.
    2) Dead Space 3 was a great game. Even with the co op.

  4. Does anyone not own 5 copies of this?

Maybe it’s just me because this was hands down one of the best games of the past 10 years.
