Bethesda’s Pete Hines has just announced that The Evil Within will be coming earlier than planned. While the game was planned for an October 21st release, it is now scheduled for an October 14th release. According to Hines, Shinji Mikami asked for some time in order to enhanced and polish its title but it appears that the game is ready earlier than anticipated.
Developed by Shinji Mikami – creator of the seminal Resident Evil series – and the talented team at Tango Gameworks, The Evil Within embodies the meaning of pure survival horror.
In The Evil Within, players will experience a disturbing reality as you try to break free from warped machinations that could only exist in the most horrifying worlds.
“Players will face twisted creatures and experience true terror, all heightened by cutting edge lighting and animation made possible by a customized version of the id Tech 5 engine.”
Enjoy!

soooooo does that mean the pc version will be released in the same day or we will get another crappy port that DID need more time to polish, yet modders fix it in a couple of days?
Also this game is my last hope for a singleplayer survival horror game after R3 and dead space shot themself mutiple times in the head with coop anti-singleplayer rounds.
i saw one or two gameplay video of it, man frame rate was all over the place (maybe my videos were bad) plus graphics aren’t that good either. i don’t think it sell well specially on first half of october, they are mordor, alien, dragon age, borderlands etc
whoever buys borderlands needs a slap in the face, seriously quit milking that game.
Dragon age appeals to a diffirent fanbase and i dont think mordor will sell.
yeah i’m with you on borderlands. but they have more chance of success than evil within and they had more marketing ads etc than EW, you see dragon age all over the net, even alien but bearly any sign of the evil within
It’s rarely possible to determine the game’s framerate from videos. Best to wait for performance reviews.
