The team behind The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remake in Skyrim, Skyblivion, announced that it plans to release this mod in 2025. Moreover, the team released a brand new trailer that you can find below.
Skyblivion aims to bring The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to a new generation of gamers and re-introduce it to long-time fans of the series. This mod will also support both Skyrim Legacy Edition and Skyrim Special Edition.
Upon release, the mod will be completely modular. As such, players will be able to choose what components they want to install. This includes all enhancements developed by the team such as its Landscaping Overhaul, Interior Overhaul, City Overhaul, Weapon/Armor Overhaul and much more.
As the team noted:
“Remaking Oblivion in the Skyrim engine is what we set out to do when we started the Skyblivion project. Making games takes time, this goes double for a volunteer project the size of a AAA game that took a team of fulltime devs years to make. Regardless we would like to share today that Skyblivion is in a state where we can promise a 2025 release at the latest.”
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Cool. We probably don’t have TES6 yet then, so it’s a nice thing to do until then.
I’ll be cautiously optimistic about the release. None of these fan remakes ever actually come out. If this one does it’ll be a huge accomplishment.
Still waiting for
Skywind
Fallout 4 new Vegas
Fallout 4 capital wasteland
Nah, they do come out, look around, even if most don’t and die early.
I might of missed their releases. What are some that have come out?
I’m sure this is just me, but I think Oblivion with tons of mods (Bevilex’ modlist) strangely has more charm than Skyblivion. ?
Still interested in this, though.
I wish it were possible to install it like an add-on to the Skyrim world, and not like a total conversion, though.
One hundred percent agreed. Doesn’t feel like Oblivion at all. I always prefer to play the original games modded instead, and this didn’t change my mind.
Naaaaaaa i’m falling flat on my back to the ground!!!
Awgh… Still, the bad part is that it’s the Oblivion thing… Who cares about Oblivion, cool fine, but we all know we’re all waiting for SkyWind… Because MORROWIND is where it’s at!!!
In fact, if i was Rebelzize, who is in charge of both projects, i would have dropped this immediately and reallocated the volunteers to Skywind and focus 100% on that instead of making both projects 10 years long because of lack of resources. idk.
people should finish one thing before going on to the next
Why is every topic about mods. Do more than a handful of people even care about this.
Doesn’t say anything about either, independent timelines.
Finally! Oblivion was so much better than Skyrim.
Glad I’m not alone who thinks that way. Oblivion was a landmark game and one that really opened my eyes to next gen (360 at the time).
The only thing that bothered me was the lack of voice actors.
Interesting, explain some more…
Oblivion takes place at the center of Tamriel so its enviroments are more diverse. It is also has show, cold enviroments if you go north but it also has vibrand envoriments at the center. Skyrim on the other hand is 90% bland snowy enviroments.
Also I found the assassins and thieves clan side quests more intriguiging on Oblivion
It’s called english bro. Learn it.
the word “English” should start with a capital E when it is referring to the language. So I think you are the one that should learn English “bro”
Is that it?
Agreed. Skyrim got more credit than it deserved imo. I found Skyrim to be a bit on the boring side.
