Techland Announces Free New Content Updates for Dying Light

Techland today revealed the first details about upcoming new content for Dying Light. According to the press release, several free content updates will be released in the coming months to ensure that all Dying Light players can find new experiences to enjoy.

The core highlight of the first update will be the frequently requested Hard Mode.

Tymon Smekta?a, Producer of Dying Light, said:

”A few gamers have already finished Dying Light and are asking for more. So we’re going to give our community a new challenge that will put everything they learnt in the game to the test. Hard Mode is exactly that. We’re aiming to have it out around the start of March, if not sooner. Depends on how brutal we wanna make this on people”

Hard Mode will feature various changes to the gameplay including:

-Ramped up nighttime difficulty
-Deadlier and more vicious foes
-Increased need for stealth and silence
-Scarce resources and supplies
-… and plenty of other additions

The first content update will also bring many improvements to the gameplay and a number of new character outfits. The update will be available on all platforms in the near future.

Techland already announced modding tools as part of the long term support plans for Dying Light and have also started the distribution of redeem codes for in-game weapons. The first of many redeem codes can be found in the recently released gameplay trailer that can be viewed below.

  1. That’s nice. You can already make the zombies harder by mods. This game is pretty good for modding as the zombie, character and weapon stat numbers are all in readable files which you can easily modify with a text editor.

  2. So this is the new trend… Make a game poorly optimized even for the backer’s cards and next thing you know they are giving out free DLC…. Maybe if Tech would of made it right in the 1st place they could of had enough happy customers that would of gladly paid over some cash for that added content..

    1. Game is no longer poorly optimized.Latest nvidia driver gives huge boost.Don’t say the game is poorly optimized if you don’t even have the game.

See this. This was before any patch. Now the performance is even more with patches and latest driver. Is your friend using amd gpu?

          Remove the space after youtube.

    2. Look at Evolve.. thats bullshit. Dying Light is maybe not the best game
or best optimized game but atleast Dying Light devs dont consider us all
      stupid.
