PC Mario fans, here is something cool for you today. We all know that, at least for now, Nintendo does not plan to bring its Mario games to the PC. As such, fans are doing what Nintendon’t (only retro gamers will get this). So, yesterday, a demo for Super Mario and the Rainbow Stars just became available for download.
Super Mario and the Rainbow Stars is a project that aims to bring the unique traits of the Paper Mario and Mario and Luigi series into a fun 2D platformer. In the full game, players will explore 7 different chapters, discover new partners and unique worlds, and stop Starnox’s evil plans.
Super Mario and the Rainbow Stars features new moves, cutscenes, 3D world map, and tons of powerups. Moreover, it comes with a 3 hp life system, partner system, original songs and more.
To celebrate the demo release, Starshi also shared the following gameplay trailer. And as you will see, this free Mario game actually feels like a… Mario game. The game already looks polished and plays great. So, if you are a Mario fan, you should definitely get it.
Now I don’t know whether or not Nintendo will shut it down. I mean, we’re talking about Nintendo. The company that has shut down dozens of free projects. Therefore, I suggest downloading it while you still can.
Here is what its team had to say about a possible DMCA.
“Nintendo only takes down fangames that make a profit or are remakes of existing games. Besides, SMBX has existed for many years and has never once been taken down.”
Let’s hope that the big N will not mess things up for the team. But anyway, you can download the demo from this link.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Hopefully xir devs support the DEAD identity as well.
Lol, what a snowflake. BTW, you look like a drag queen, so what's your problem?
Took me a minute to figure out what you are talking about. My eyes went right the big text first. Good catch. Ugggg.
Thank you for this. I almost downloaded it. Now I might just inform Nintendo of it instead.
Interesting, very interesting… so my concerns were exactly on point when I not only saw the word "rainbow" in the title, but also even the rainbow itself from the trailer and screenshots literally looked like it's trying to capture the same "look" of the rainbow cult subhumans.
And not only that, as soon as I saw that it's a pixelated fan gayme AND in 2024, the literal very first thing that popped up in my head was "we are living in the year 2024 and not 2009, the age where making sprite-based games and animations from 15 years ago are long over." Sprite-based cancer is not even remotely half "special" nowadays (spoilers, it wasn't impressive even in 2009, sprites are a 1970s-1990s garbage thing and nothing more, it was something that people did when the internet was still somewhat new globally and people were just trying to have fun and smile).
Yes, I hate sprites so much that as soon as I see an indie gayme's trailer trying to cash in on some goyim's nostalgias of an old game as a cheap way to hopelessly try to get some attention by using the classical "iNsPiReD bY a bLaSt fRoM tEh pAsT!!!" marketing cliche in the pathetic and predictable Talmudick behavior in an attempt for these ZERO-YEAR-OLD INFANT PEEPEE BLOODSUCKING APOLOGISTS to pack the shekels in their pockets and then run away after it before being forgotten soon after release and for the developer to cease existing soon after it, I add that gayme to my "can't wait to ignore" list. Imagine having the same mentalities of these fl@ggots thinking it requires 'talent' to achieve or that it's something worthy of being wowed over, especially in the 2020s.
And just for a little bit of extra thing to say regarding sprites; just a few months ago I noticed that sprite-based animations on JewTube are long gone (or at least, not as widely persistent as they were in the 2000s and early 2010s). Good riddance and hopefully they never come back!
Thanks for the info John, a Nintendo lawyer is reading your witty article as we speak.
NintenDONT – yeap John, that was Sega as it's finest mantra, I remember ..What a time back then 😀
Write it in the title, it's a f*king demo!!!!!!!!! https://media4.giphy.com/media/N17vG9EAW23siYucZt/giphy-downsized-small.mp4
Just a demo, I mean you can just grab the real thing in ready to go repacks of most of the major ones, or vimms for a ton as well.
