Now this is just awesome. Capcom has revealed that Street Fighter V will support cross-platform play between the PC and PS4 versions. This basically means that PC gamers will be able to fight their PS4 friends online. In addition, Capcom has released the first gameplay trailer for its fighting game that can be viewed below. Enjoy!

It’s awesome if the games come out simultaneous for both platforms and PS4 players don’t get a head start on the games new mechanics. I remember Maximillan Dood on youtube saying the best time to play fighting games online is the within the first weeks of it being released when everyone is learning those things.
Beating up peasants? You got my money, lets hope there is a chat option so i can scream 144fps, 4k, free mp, mods, better graphics, more exlsusives.
:))))))))
Yes beating the peasants! We will show them how awesome fighters we are! We will show them who the true games are!!! 4K 60 fps max settings and cross platform?! What else to ask for?!
I remember Street Fighter 4 being unplayable above 60 FPS. the game was faster above that frame rate.
I hope they don’t do the same here and we can play at 120 FPS
Won’t happen because fighting games are lockstep by design and the gameplay is directly tied to framerate. The timing for moves, combos, etc. are all tied down to frames.
OMG!!!!!!!! Denjin Haduken!!! it’s Awesome.
PC FTW
Already watched 5 time and can’t stop watching this trailer. so excited. I think SF V is using Unreal Engine 4.
It might be their new Panta Rhei engine but yeah we wont know for sure until they release more info next year.
hmm.. that too.. as far as I remember Panta Rhei engine got great visual with fireball and energy beam etc…
we have to wait to know
“Console Exclusivity on PS4” . LMFAO.
Trust me, that’s a GOOD thing and not really a laughing matter. I’m so glad it’s not just “exclusive”. Actually I’m pretty surprised this game is only on PS4 and PC.
This seems like a good thing because it wouldn’t be unfair like with a cross-play shooter on PC and consoles. Unless of course, you play this game on KB, that would give the console players an advantage.
street fighter is better with a keyboard than a game pad.
I disagree. Fighting games generally play better on a pad.
I disagree. Fighting games generally play better on a fighting stick.
Playing with a fighting stick is by far the best choice for the game, but between playing with the X360 pad or keyboard I prefer the keyboard.
My statement was with respect to a pad or keyboard.

Basicly a keyboard.
Of course they play best on a stick, I have both the Madcatz SF Tourny stick and a custom by Noel “Finkle” Williams.

I have tried to play fighting games with a keyboard. It was a nightmare. Have a Xbox, PS and arcade stick for my PC.
Pretty sure, anyone getting it on the PC will have some sort of gamepad
Yeah that makes sense yes. Some people do play fighters on keyboard though and they find it fine.
Generally it’s first arcade sticks, then gamepads and then everything else. There are a few pro-gamers that use gamepads in tournaments.
As long as it has a good online code I will be happy.
Now it makes sense why the Xbone got left out of it. MS doesn’t allow cross-platform multiplayer (one of the reasons why FFXIV:ARR is not available for X360/Xbone)
Could be the reason.
I’d rather cross-platform FPS action…
i think this is great. cross platform means the community will not die so soon on PC since we will always have people to play with. i think its a totally great move and a wake up call to MS to open up a little bit, their sh**ty closed system is not gonna work forever.
Microsoft will make another deal with a 3rd party studio and you all cry sony ponies
Hopefully there is a way to filter out console players so their silky smooth framedrops don’t get in the way.
