Street Fighter 6 will release in 2023, gets first gameplay trailer

Capcom has announced that its latest fighting game, Street Fighter 6, will release in 2023. In order to celebrate this announcement, the team released the game’s first gameplay trailer that you can find below.

Now what’s really great about this new trailer is its art style. Contrary to the debut trailer (which had a more realistic look), this latest trailer maintains the cartoony art style, colors and lighting of Street Fighter 5. This will definitely please all SF fans who were a bit disappointed with the game’s initial trailer.

In Street Fighter 6, players will take part in the Fighting Ground, which focuses on the classic fighting game experience with modes from previous games in the series. Two new modes will be available in SF6. These modes are World Tour and Battle Hub. World Tour is an immersive single-player story experience. On the other hand, Battle Hub promises to further expand the scope of player communication and engagement.

You can find more gameplay details about Street Fighter 6 on its official website.

Enjoy!

  1. Looks interesting, most likely a day one buy for me, Don’t really care about the politics around it, more interested in the gameplay/mechanics.
I’ve been a life long Street Fighter fan and wasted a lot of my teen years in arcades playing SF2, and then playing SF3 very competitively.

    1. “Don’t really care about the politics around it, more interested in the gameplay/mechanics.”

A brilliant stance to have. I mean, this is a game, right?

Why not blindly swallow political ideology of the mentally impaired, because “the gameplay/mechanics” are good?

      Scholarly.

    1. who the hell would drop the controller to navigate the menus with a mouse? If you play fighting games on the keyboard, you’re doing it wrong.

          1. Of course. We did it on DOS back in the days before the Playstation existed, and we’ll still be doing it decades after everyone’s PS5’s are breaking down in landfills.

  2. The “live commentary” sounds obnoxious from the get go. Not a fan of the visuals either.

  3. Only needed 45 seconds to drop the video.
    I wouldn’t say it’s disgusting, but it’s digusting.

  4. Those videos gave me cancer.
OMG this is so depressing to witness what the great gems of the past have become…

What is this disgusting brownie gangsta “music”? ?
What do they always have to use rap everywhere now? WHY? WHY? WHY.
    WHY
    WHY
    WHY
I can’t help crying when I compare with the timeless marvelous themes of the first games.

Also, there are so many visual effects that we can’t even see the characters anymore.
Are we playing Splatoon or Street Fighter? It looks like the characters are throwing buckets of colored ink to each other with each hit. Ridiculous.
Back in my days, there were only little visual hints, which didn’t obstruct anything.

And Chun Li has never been as much covered up as now. In the next Street Fighter, I’ll assume she’ll be even wearing an Islamic veil. Can’t wait to see her trying her “Spinning Bird Kick” while wearing a Burqa!
Well, if that’s what crazy feminists want…
What about the other female fighters?
Let me guess, there’s a bearded one-legged black ladyboy?

All stages which have been showcased so far make it look like the game is taking places in the gloomiest and poorest districts of Detroit, with graffitis and homeless people everywhere. Is this a joke or something?
The only one standing out is the mandatory bland Japanese garden stage, which looks pathetic compared to the 2D stages we had back in the 90s, like the Japanese garden in Real Bout Fatal Fury.
One of the things I loved the most about Street Fighter games, and fighting games in general, was the feeling of travelling to many exotic countries. NOT AMERICA’S POOREST DISTRICTS.
Give me Thailand beaches, Italian bridges, Austrian castles, Argentinian mountains, but NOT THIS!!!

No, seriously, WHO is developing this game? It can’t be a Japanese game, right?
Is Capcom finally completed owned by American leftists now?
What in the woke hell is going on here?

    This garbage is absolutely pathetic.
Makes me feel extremely nostalgic of the good old 90s.
    Please God cancel this game.?

Edit: And according to the comments on Youtube, people LOVE it (especially the “graffiti aesthetics”, as they call it). lol
I don’t want to live in this world anymore.

*goes back to good old SSFII on Arcade*

    1. “No, seriously, WHO is developing this game? It can’t be a Japanese game, right?”

Capcom hasn’t been Japanese for at least 6 years now.

Capcom California does all the heavy lifting now. Capcom Japan, is merely a PR figure anymore.

  5. SFV microtransactions were the devil this game looks really good. I will be watching in depth reviews intently, so I don’t feel like a fool after buying SFV again. Other than that, this game looks great on the RE: Engine!

  6. Mixed feelings, visually it looks too “normal” but the paint splash
effects are awesome. I was worried about Cammy’s default wearing
pants, but it seems that she has an alt that’s based on her original
    costume.
