Star Wars Zero Company feature

Star Wars Zero Company gets first in-engine trailer, coming to PC in 2026

Electronic Arts has announced that Star Wars Zero Company will be released in 2026, and shared its first in-engine trailer. So, let’s take a look at this new Star Wars game, shall we?

Star Wars Zero Company is a single-player turn-based tactics game, developed by Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment. In this game, you will command an elite squad through a gritty and authentic story set during the twilight of the Clone Wars.

Players will step into the shoes of Hawks, a former Republic officer. As Hawks, you’ll have to lead Zero Company, an unconventional outfit of professionals for hire hailing from across the galaxy. Hawks and Zero Company are recruited for an operation that pits them against an emerging threat that will consume the galaxy if left unchecked. To succeed, Hawks will lead a team of uneasy allies who must set aside their differences to overcome nearly impossible odds.

This first trailer features some gameplay scenes at the end. These gameplay clips will give you an idea of what you can expect from it. The vibes I got were “XCOM meets Star Wars”. So, I guess that’s what the devs are currently aiming for.

And that is that. Since the game targets a 2026 release date, it will be a while until we get any more news about it. Still, this may excite all the Star Wars that are fans of this particular genre. As for the rest of the Star Wars fans… well… there is nothing more for you today. No news for a new Star Wars Jedi game. And no news about the Quantic Dream Star Wars game.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. Trailer feels like it came from the pre war era. EA is forcing respawn to bail out star wars over and over again. There are plenty of xcom games out there, i dont see how this will trump them.

          1. I don't think so. You've been into that kind of thing for a long time. Your taste in girls resembles what people who play Second Life are into and most of them are hideous perverts with severe psychological issues and social anxiety, which are common traits among societal outcasts.
Honestly, I'm 100 percent sure you're either a mentally disturbed pervert or outright a pedophile, though I can't determine which.

    1. isnt it mind-blowing how we had a first person and third person action adventure game with guns and lightsaber combat decades ago and yet modern games cant even get the animations right and have to copy dark souls, is as if the games of that era are a forgotten technology, just like good lighting and optimization, nope gotta have unreal engine 5 and use ray tracing and still look like sht for some fcking reason.

  2. It has permadeath even for main characters, changing the story if they die, this might be a true XCOM contender and not the half spirited tries I've seen since XCOM 2. But It's EA, they'll screw it with something.

  3. I like StarWars but its from another anti-consumer game co. I have played any SW games since origin/ubiconnect were foisted on gamers. That and I dont do turn based games.

So this will be another that will get added to the ignore pile.
