Star Wars: Battlefront – Upcoming Trailer Will Pack In-Engine Visuals, Lightsabers Semi-Confirmed

Star Wars Battlefront will be officially unveiled in a week, and today we’ve got some pretty cool stuff for those interested in it. First of all, this upcoming trailer will feature in-engine visuals (at least according to DICE’s Lead Level Designer, Dennis Brannvall. And if that wasn’t enough, a new image hints at Darth Vader appearing in this latest Star Wars game.

Take the Darth Vader info with a grain of salt, as we can’t be 100% certain. For all we know, this could be a custom character wearing Darth Vader’s clothes and nothing more.

Moreover, it’s also safe to say that Star Wars: Battlefront will feature lightsabers (we can see the figure that looks similar to Darth Vader holding one).

Star Wars: Battlefront will be officially unveiled on April 17th. DICE and Electronic Arts will unleash a new trailer for it and as Dennis answered in advance, that’s exactly what the game will look like.

    1. In DX11 GCN had more instruction than Kepler yet nVidia has always faster,so you see you little fanboi more instructions doesn`t make a card faster or better.Aso DX12 si more about the software side not more HW instructions.

  1. As long as they reveal if there’s a 3rd person perspective so I know whether to buy it or not.

      1. Yeah, because I totally bought hardline after the failure of bf4. If they end up making this into star wars battlefield, i’m 100% uninterested.

          1. That’s fine. It’s good to see they’ll still get $ for possibly butchering a great series.

          2. oh yeah cause Star Wars Battlefront is doing so well today?????????? the series has been dead just be glad it’s finally being made

    1. I really don’t think third person is that big of a deal. I played a lot of Battlefront 1 and 2 in first person but didn’t like it because it looked crappy.

One or the the other, it’s still going to probably be good.

  2. That picture of Darth Vader is just a wallpaper. What happened here is EA re-released the same teaser trailer they had last year at E3 recently as a reminder that they will be showing more at Star Wars Celebration next week. The problem is, gaming sites that don’t really follow the development thought this was a brand new trailer or forgot and straight up posted the same thing they did when it was released last year (http://www.dsogaming.com/videotrailer-news/next-mass-effect-star-wars-battlefront-3-teased-with-new-trailers/). If you actually watch this trailer you can see DICE employees play-fighting with lightsabers in a quick-pan of the camera.

  3. That’s not a wall paper he has triple monitors set up its how they multi task without closing or minimizing windows every second also the background is the default windows 7 background you can see it on the left monitor
