Square Enix has announced the latest part in its Kingdom Hearts series, Kingdom Hearts 4. In order to celebrate this announcement, the publisher released a new trailer (featuring numerous Kingdom Hearts games) that you can find below.
As the press release reads:
In the announcement trailer, Sora makes a triumphant return with an updated look at the beginning of an epic new storyline titled the “Lost Master Arc.” Beginning with Sora facing off in a boss battle against a giant enemy, players are introduced to the Quadratum, a large, expansive city set in a gorgeous, realistic world unlike anything ever seen before in the KINGDOM HEARTS series. Fans will be excited to see the return of Sora’s well-known companions Donald and Goofy, in addition to the first appearance of Strelitzia, a mysterious new character who appears before Sora in this strange new setting.
KINGDOM HEARTS series Brand Manager, Ichiro Hazama, said:
“We’re thrilled to celebrate the series’ 20th anniversary with the announcement of two new KINGDOM HEARTS titles. We’d like to thank the fans for all of their support over the years, and we can’t wait for them to experience all that’s to come for Sora.”
Nana Gadd, Director at Walt Disney Games, added:
“Sora is an original Disney video game hero like no other, beloved by our team, and fans across the world. We’ve been honored to work with Tetsuya Nomura and his team for two decades to introduce these original stories of discovery, courage, and friendship. This glimpse into Sora’s next adventure is just the beginning – we can’t wait to show more when the time is right.”
Square Enix has not revealed the platforms for which Kingdom Hearts IV will release. Since Kingdom Hearts 3 came on the PC, though, we can assume that this new game will also find its way to our platform.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Yawn.
This is all well truly good and all but I just can’t help but fall asleep at the lack of mention when it comes to the UNREAL ENGINE™ and its amazing NANITE® and LUMEN® technologies.
Owned by Epic Games® and personally funded by our communistical friends over at Tencent ??, the UNREAL ENGINE™ is by far the only thing worth discussing from here on out.
I wonder how many sales SE will lose if this is an Epic Game store exclusive
same thought i had.
Gradually EVERYTHING in the NVIDIA leak has come/is coming true so far. Chrono Cross Remastered, Kingdom Hearts 4, Crysis 4, Street Fighter 6, New Tomb Raider
MOST OF IT….
which means that Final Fantasy 9 REMAKE, Titanfall 3, Injustice 3, Dragons Dogma 2 is also REAL?!
And Returnal, Horizon Forbidden West, Ghost of Tsushima and GT7 is also coming to PC?!
Maybe the success of Titanfall 2 on Steam (and Apex Legends) has convinced EA to greenlit the project.
If real, will be interesting to see if it can live up to the second’s campaign.
Coming to PC years after console and then another year of EGS exclusivity.
Not really something to be excited about.
Hard pass. We already have one boring Final Fantasy, don’t need a generic other to be added.
