Grand Theft Auto V feature-2

Rumor: Pre-Orders For Grand Theft Auto V PC Will Start This Friday

Rumor alert GTA fans. According to GameReactor, Nordic retailer Elgiganten (a company owned by Dixons Retail UK) will start taking pre-orders for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V this Friday. As always, take this with a grain of salt as Rockstar has not confirmed anything about GTA V PC.

GameReactor claims that this information has been confirmed to them via a manager of one of the Swedish stores. Whether this is true or not is still unknown. Perhaps we’ll have an official statement about GTA V PC this Friday?

Lately we’ve been getting a lot of hints and rumors about the PC version of GTA V. It’s almost certain that the latest GTA will come to our platform. Question now is when Rockstar will reveal it.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. I hope GameReactor’s right. We all know GTA V PC will be coming, I just hope he’s right about it at least being announced Friday. Rockstar’s been pretty annoying with the PC release info.

    1. Pretty annoying is an understatement. Repulsive is more fitting. They treat the PC community like complete shit. Ignoring us completely for over 2 years, treating their fans like criminals simply for asking valid questions. But they’ll try to be our best friends once it’s announced and they want our money.

      1. Ah cmon they were obviously paid off by microcock and sony to not announce anything for a period of time so they could fully milk all the sales they could. Once sales have died down enough or the period of time is over they hve been contractually tight lipped passes …they will announce it.

Please stop the whining about the treatment pc gamers are getting like its some king of personal vendetta against us. They are a publicly traded company and this is about money and nothing more. Soon enough you’ll be playing the best version of the game and will forget about the delay.

        1. “They are a publicly traded company and this is about money and nothing more”

You can make business without being a complete douchebag about it. Just be honest and I’ll be happy to send my money.

          1. actually if it was in Microsofts and Sony’s contract for GTAV release not to announce anything for PC for X amount of time, they dont have much of a choice. I dont quite get how thats being a “douchebag”.

Its good to try to remain objective. This is ofcourse assuming thats why they havent announced anything.

          2. Because they shouldn’t have accept that contract in the first place, hence the term is used for Rockstar. Games are supposed to be for everyone, not just a selected platform because they give you money to do it. If the studio is owned by the console maker(like Naughty Dog) with Sony then fine, they have every right to call the shots.

It’s boarding on shady practice, pay a studio loads of money for exclusive rights to a game for 6-12 months, then Rockstar will come out with the bullshit marketing line about they’re proud to bring GTA 5 to the PC.

          3. like the guy said above, what can you do when you have board of directors and stockholders to answer to? Come on use your head and think. Tons of companies do it when they release products specifically to only one store the first little while as they have a contract. Nothing to do with shady, its just good business especially if it increases your sales numbers the first year.

I don’t like it either, trust me, however I also know how to understand why these things happen. I agree I wish they hadn’t have done it as now we have to wait for a while. But there is nothing shady about it. If it was bordering on shady the FTC would definitely be investigating, this sort of thing happens all the time, its acceptable albeit crappy for those of us who get shafted.

You need to understand that Rockstar devs have to answer to a publisher. They cant all be like CD Projekt Red and not sell out lol. Thats where Rockstar f’ed up, they should have stayed as an independant dev and only had termed contracts for release of their games. But at the same time, this limits your distribution worldwide now…

You cant be good to everyone if you want to make the money unfortunately.

Personally I am still weary of another GTA PC port after that garbage that was GTA4. I am hoping these lazy devs get their act together this time.

          4. I don’t think you understand how contracts work. Once nondisclosure is over you will see the PC announcement… Everyone knows it’s coming theyre just waiting for the right time to double dip. Happens with every GTA.

          5. I heard they forced Rockstar to sign the contract on gun point . I also heard that it was the same reason why GTA 4 was terrible on PC because they signed the contract to make unoptimized garbage .
            /Sarcasm .

Hint : They don’t care about core fans , deal with it. Valve had been loyal to it’s core audience since Half Life days and it is most respected and successful video game company .

Hint 2 : You can achieve the success just like Valve , without being sellout or signing contracts .

Hint 3 : Valve’s games sell better on PC , thanks to their better treatment .

          6. Add EA, Ubisoft and Square Enix to that list though at least Rockstar isn’t destroying GTA for grandma to play it like above are. Max Payne 3 was a good job on PC.

          7. Good thing you mentioned Max Payne 3 . Max Payne 1 and Max Payne 2 were PC Exclusives , ported later to consoles . Remedy had made them .
In the case of Max Payne 3 , PC version was delayed , even UBISOFT showed some respect with Far Cry 3 (original was PC game by Crytek) , they didn’t delay it for PC and it was also most optimized game of 2012 . Another example how much losers Rockstar guys are when it comes to dealing with their core audience .

On other hand Max Payne 3 is not even half as good as legendary Max Payne 1 & 2 , it is just a cover based shooter with after thought bullet time mechanic (Very unbalanced) and mediocre storyline .

          8. There is no form of no disclosure, rockstar always made the ps2 version first, then pc and xbox. In 2008 more people had x360s than ps3s so they released them on both, torronto threw a quick port of gta iv and it was a screwup.

In the end rockstar north sucks on pc and they need other studios to port the game to pc, which is not a small task considering how massive it is.

      2. perhaps if rockstar north didnt SUCK on pc and they had to give the game to third rockstar studios to port it, it wouldnt appear like they treat pc like shit.

But hey if you want another gta iv, feel free, id rather a game get a good port.
