Great news for all Risen fans as Piranha Bytes’ latest entry on this RPG was revealed via the german PC gaming magazine, PC Games. Although rumors had it that this third part would be called Risen 3: Blazing Dragons, we know now that it is renamed to Risen 3: Titan Lords and that it will be open world with a medieval setting. More details about it will be unveiled in the coming days. Enjoy the game’s first screenshots that were leaked!

I assumed their next game would be another Gothic. I think I remember reading they re-acquired the IP.
The name “Titan” is getting really popular lately. I wonder if it will be over-/misused so much like zombies or dungeons?
Don’t forget Vampires too.
the game had some titans so its fitting.
Glad to see they’ve moved past pirates.
Yeah, you and me both. I know many gamerpeople seem to love pirates but I just think it’s…meh.
Risen 2 was kind of underwhelming but still alright. I just hope this one is going to be better.
Really want to see a Gothic type game again, Gothic 3 was a head of it’s time for an open world game.
Awesome, looking forward to it.
From classical fantasy setting to pirate setting to medieval setting? I like that :D!
Still havent progressed risen 2. Risen 2 sold horribly, how come they make a sequel.
This game really needs to ditch what piranha bytes are doing lately and revise its gameplay mechanics.
No one wants another no sprint fetch quest with that horrible combat system.
Ill always welcome more RPG’s. I agree with everyone else here in that Risen 2 was somewhat underwhelming.
Another super buggy bad voice acting quest fest, just what I wanted!
The first Risen had many, many flaws. voice acting wasn’t good but I hated the animations and constantly switching camera angle more than anything.
If you did a quest in a weird order or chose the wrong line you could not continue some optional quests.
Combat was absolutely dreadful.
But I freaking l.o.v.e.d. every single minute of it, there’s something to it that I really liked, maybe the atmosphere? I don’t know, but I hope they do whatever they did in Risen 1 again, but without those flaws and weird bugs.
Risen 2 I haven’t even played yet, I was not waiting for a pirate game.. I will probably try to get into it soon but I’m not expecting much of it
I agree with you on the first Risen. I am a long time Gothic fan so when I saw Risen for the first time I jumped on the hype wagon and surprisingly I wasn’t disappointed. But if you think that the first game had bad voice acting, which I agree with you to some extent, boy are in for a BAD surprise if you’re going to try the second installment.
P.S. The atmosphere of the first game, that is most certainly the thing that got me into it.
