Last month, we informed you about a possible HD Texture Pack for the original version of Resident Evil 2 and earlier this month, we informed you about an AI-enhanced Texture Pack for Resident Evil HD Remaster. And today, we are happy to report that a brand new AI-enhanced Texture Pack has been released for Resident Evil Code Veronica X.
Created by Resetera’s member ‘Fukuzatsu’, this Texture Pack uses Topaz’s Gigapixel (an upscaling software that uses AI in order to improve textures) and you can download it from here. Now since Resident Evil Code Veronica X never came out on the PC, you’ll need a Gamecube version and the Dolphin emulator in order to enjoy this “remastered” version.
In other words, this is a similar GameCube Texture Pack to the one we shared a while back for Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2, that can only be enjoyed on the PC platform.
Unfortunately, Fukuzatsu has not shared any comparison screenshots in order to showcase the improved textures. Still, and since we know that a lot of Resident Evil fans love Code Veronica, we are pretty sure that most of you will appreciate it.

Oh god please no. How would they go about implementing the Kefka from Final Fantasy VI villain and still be taken seriously in modern times when I couldn’t take it seriously 20 years ago. I’ve had years taken off my life from laughing so hard at that villain AND at the main character’s partner in the game, Steve, I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard at a RE game when he died. The fact that I was intentionally supposed to care is why its funny.
No wait, the opera singing voice that comes out of the villains mouth at the start of RE0 is a tie lol.
What’s Kefka got to do with RE series?
Alfred basically cross-dresses as his cryogenically frozen sister for the first half of the game and talks to himself in her voice making the player think he’s insane and she doesn’t actually exist. But she does.

True albeit the official “HD Remaster” on PS3/360 was little more than an upscale of the same old textures dating back to the original Dreamcast release so we didn’t exactly miss out on anything special. So the GameCube version when used with this AI textures pack plus a high internal rendering resolution set in Dolphin should presumably look better.
I played it on my PS3. They did redo some textures and added dynamic lighting. The water looked much better than it did in the Dreamcast or Gamecube version.
BEST RE game in history for me. Beaten it like 15 times and Still dont get bored of it.

Truly a great question, since that’s what texture packs are known to address. Walking, running, and pretty much all animations.

Also, there’s now an AI textures pack available for Soul Calibur II (GameCube).
Amazing work, and like #Bub&Bob said there is a SoulCalibur 2 GC AI Enhanced pack avaliable now too, the game is already gorgeous by default, but now it looks outstanding, I wish we could get this game on steam!!

Agreed! I just played through the Arcade mode as Kilik and the visuals were damned impressive. These AI Enhanced texture packs have brought a new lease of life to the likes of Metroid Prime 1&2, F-Zero GX, Viewtiful Joe, etc. Wonderful.
I wish he could upload on another mirror, MEGA is a b*tch with those limits, I can’t even donwload it via chrome and Jdownloader. Are there any by pass to fix this?

Ditto. I’m not creating a user account with Mega just to download a textures mod. It’d be nice if they made it available to download through other means such as a torrent.
Mega limit is 4 gb for free users, not really a low limit if you don’t use it for a lot. Or just buy a mega account its like 6 euros.
4 GB in 2020 is not really a low limit? What?! Do you even use the internet a lot? 4GB is wicked low! And it’s not 4 GB, it’s actually 5GB. Nobody should be paying MEGA anything with such low data rates and bandwidth throttling when you can EASILY get 15GB to start with Google Drive, with NO DATA RATE LIMITS! makes absolutely NO SENSE to use MEGA these days vs. free alternatives. Sure Google has a limit of 15GB and you have to pay to store more data, but not to download it and then get scammed like MEGA does by making your downloads purposely stall, just so you have to restart it. O_o Stalling transfers happens to the majority of users now, and that is because it is by design to make MEGA more money. Again, 4GB is MAD LOW for a download and has nothing to do with if you use it a lot or not. They also limit downloads because they feel everybody is pirating software and putting it on their website when in reality, files these days say like videos, or pictures in HD are going to naturally be huge, hence why 4GB is mad low! It has nothing to do with if you use it a lot or not, this is one single download dude, a 6GB download with a 4GB limit on data for 6 hours, then it will resume, but if it stalls…WHAM! your back to a limit again. An obvious SCAM. No reason for the uploader to be using MEGA and ONLY Mega….should have used One Drive, Google Drive, or something else.

Stalling doesn’t happen on purpose nor to the majority of users . I’ve lloyerally never once had an issue with mega. I start a download over 5gb and then I put that computer on sleep when it hits the wait timer, wake it and it still downloads fine.Move out of your trash third world city to a place with real internet and you won’t have issues.

Pretty dumb to be using ONLY MEGA to upload these. So many better alternatives that don’t force you to pay after 5GBs is downloaded, not to mention they purposely stall downloads and force a restart of the entire file because of it, then stopping the download for 6 hours unless you pay a subscription fee. O_o come on guys…get with the times. it’s 2020! Use Drop Box, or Google Drive, or One Drive. None of which limit data rates for a small download like this. O_o This reeks of trying to advertise and promote MEGA. It’s a troll move.
