No Matter Studios has launched a Kickstarter campaign for its upcoming game that is inspired by Shadow of the Colossus, Prey for the Gods. Prey For The Gods is an action survival game set on a desolate frozen island, and the team aims to raise $300K in the next 30 days.
Here are the key features of Prey for the Gods:
- Colossal battles with giants where you can climb your foes
- A vast and mysterious frozen world with dynamic snow terrain that you must traverse
- Intense survival game play
- Explore mysterious temples that contain secrets and treasure.
- Dynamic weather and day/night cycle
- Non-linear game play where you choose who to battle and how
- Loot the fallen heroes and equip yourself with weapons and supplies
- Unique musical score
Prey for the Gods ambitiously aims to combine the game play of Shadow of the Colossus, Deus Ex, DayZ, and BloodBorne. The game promises to have tight controls (you can use keyboard+mouse or a gamepad), action-packed boss fights and a frozen mysterious world to explore.
Enjoy!

wasn’t there another by the shadow of colossus devs?
It’s called Vane. Announced for PC back in 2014 and nothing since then. they are making it with Unity.
Prey for the Gods is inspired by SoftC, Vane is being made by Ex SoftC devs.
Vane’s team released a behind the scene video back in 2015 i think (or that’s when i watched it anyway). it is being made by 7 people while Prey of the Gods is being developed by 3. i won’t be surprised if Vane’s team (called Friend&Foe) also launch a kickstarter campaign this year.
I will welcome them both.
This is some the the old Iron Lore developers, glad to see them back at it.
Looks lovely.
dat music, amazing trailer. the boss designs aren’t really original though and considering only 5 bosses are confirmed so far i wish they were, but still, looks impressive for a game being made by such an small team.
based on the trailer i suppose whenever we die the wolf drags us back to a respawn point or something, which is neat if true.
One of the developers of Titan Quest and Grim Dawn is here…sign me in. 😉
Aside from that, love the looks of the game alone, I can see myself playing and enjoying this game a lot.
This looks cool as hell 🙂
Bet it comes out before The Last Guardian.
