Flat2VR Studios, Team Beef, and Running With Scissors today revealed plans for POSTAL 2 Redux, a ground-up overhaul of 2003’s infamous open world shooter.
POSTAL 2 Redux aims to be a mix of old and new. It will take everything from the original game and move it into the Unity Engine. You’ll still play through the same crazy week as the POSTAL Dude, but now the game will look way better and will include fun new features and weapons.
The goal of this project is to make the best version of POSTAL 2 ever. POSTAL 2 Redux will work on all kinds of screens, have better graphics, new weapons, crazier physics, and lots of hidden surprises. And yes—you can still do your wild errands using a shovel if you want.
POSTAL 2 Redux will have high-res textures and dynamic lighting. The signs and gross puddles in Paradise will look sharper than ever. You’ll also be able to run across the whole town without any loading screens, elevators, or doors slowing you down.
The devs also claim that the crowds in POSTAL 2 Redux will act smarter and move more freely. Civilians will still report you, and cops will still freak out—but now riots can start faster and get crazier. Also, buildings like stores, arcades, and alleys will be filled with stuff you can break. Everything will be ready to be smashed.
There are also some other cool features in POSTAL 2 Redux. Guns will feel more powerful, and bullets can go through enemies. You’ll even see limbs fly off with ragdoll effects. Champ, your dog, is getting a big upgrade too! You can pet him, tell him to attack, or let him jump into your selfies. Paradise’s best dog is finally getting the attention he deserves.
There is currently no ETA for when the game will come out. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop!

Postal 2 was UE game and remake should be UE5 game, not unity.
Postal 4 uses unreal 4 and it is what it is.
You want it to run like dogsh*t?
"The devs also claim that the crowds in POSTAL 2 Redux will act smarter and move more freely"
the goofy burning crowds are the best part..
anyone who played postal 4 correctly realize that the experience cannot be replicated. They just dont make engines like this anymore. When you get stuck on geometry and then the game teleports you out of that spot and says "there you go now stay out of that spot" my mind was blown, modern games dont have that stuff. The fact modern engines use so many premade assets is why houses in postal 4 look so terrible, its just not the same.
Still haven't played Postal 4, I'm waiting until they're done updating it!
At least the biggest updates.
Don't give up on it, cos apparently, 2025 updates improved the graphics quite a lot, and fixed many things. I haven't noticed anything special about the houses on the screenshots of the earlier versions. Maybe they were improved?
Postal 2 is one of my favorite games ever (yeah I'm sick 🤣), so I hope that eventually they'll fix everything in 4.
They updated 2 during 20 years, so…😅 And they still do apparently, with that Redux version, but I'm not too excited about it…
Screw engines! Do i get to use cat silencer or not?
Considering that Flat2VR Studios is involved, I assume that means there will be a VR mode?
great now you can pee in someone's face in ultra high definition

Stupid peverted jew who created this franchise will spend his lifetime milking it from suck3rs. I heard people saying RE3 was the most unecessary remake, nah it's clearly this.

No?
I feel like it's unnecessary.
Still will download it when it's available, though… illegally. 😇
Not gonna pay for a game I own since 2004. lol
Well, at least it's not UE5, thanks God.
