Hi-Rez Studios, the creators of SMITE, have just released the very first gameplay footage and screenshots for Paladins, their upcoming team-based FPS. Paladins aims to offer deep strategy and in-match character progression through decks of collectible cards, which enhance a character’s core set of abilities.
The game will be free-to-play for PC and current-generation consoles, and will enter Early Access later this year.
The new trailer, which features in-game footage as well as information on the game’s systems and design from Hi-Rez staff, can be viewed below.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
