Epic Games has announced that over one million gamers have played Fortnite: Battle Royale on its first day. And to be honest, this figure comes as no surprise as Fortnite: Battle Royale is currently available for free on PC and current-gen consoles.

Powered by Unreal Engine 4, Fortnite: Battle Royale is a PvP mode for Fortnite that puts 100-players on a giant map with destructible environments, where they’ll combine their Fortnite building and combat skills to be the last one standing.
Those interested can download it from Epic’s Games Launcher. You can also read our first impressions of it here.
Have fun!

Yea well it’s free. No need to over hype it (epic). Everybody wanted to try it out. Just like Evolve that saw it’s player base hike 7000% because of the f2p model. It isn’t 7000% anymore let me tell you that. Same goes for Fortnite. I’m not saying the game is trash, it’s a good game but nothing serious/competitive. Not sure the player base will like/stay.
Just give them the illusion of competition, and they’ll be happy with it.
I like the female constructor with the big booty. Beyond that I know nothing about the game except that it takes place entirely inside of a pillow fort and at night.
Lol well. It’s all sunshine indeed. Not serious.
Again, for the pve part it’s fun, i own it but the pvp mega meh.
That 7000%(!) just was less than 100k or something, not even close to 1 million. The game jumped to the top three twitch games with many pubg streamers switching over to it. It is a big deal and of course they are happy about it. How are they over-hyping?!
I don`t understand you guys, competition is always good for the customer, why are so against it?
Well i think i didn’t make myself clear. My point was neutral and not negative. Also, there is probably a fair amount of player that just dlled the game to try it out once then uninstall. The numbers i’d like to know about aren’t the first day numbers (hence my point with evolve), i want to know about the numbers in a month. They know player base isn’t going to br 1mil in 1week, let alone 1 month. I just don’t like how they present their stats. They could’ve waited 1-2weeks before trowing stats, they would’ve been much more relevant. I want this game to succeed, again, the PVE is fun and can be hard, which can be a challenge for a 4-man team (coop)
One year I went to the fair and let people touch my nipples for free. I got 152 takers.
Compare to >20.000.000 in BF1 Beta and…. I’ve unistalled it already 😉 UT is better.
