NVIDIA has released a brand new version of its DLSS Super Resolution AI technique, DLSS 2.5.1. This version was initially available in Portal RTX, and from the looks of it, it can improve the visuals of other games using DLSS 2.
Going into more details, DLSS 2.5.1 can significantly reduce the object flickering in Red Dead Redemption 2. With this latest version, there is no flickering when moving the camera. As such, this is a must-have for everyone that currently plays Rockstar’s open-world game.
In Cyberpunk 2077, DLSS 2.5.1 can reduce visual artifacts, reduce ghosting, and improve edge smoothness in high-contrast scenarios. Not only that, but its Ultra Performance Mode appears to be usable (though as always, we recommend using the Quality Mode).
As for God of War, this latest version of DLSS 2 can reduce the sharpening/visual artifacts when moving the camera. This is a subtle improvement but hey, it’s still an improvement.
You can download the NVIDIA DLSS 2.5.1 DLL file from here. All you have to do, afterwards, is replace the older DLL file (located in the game’s folder) with this new one.
Enjoy!

So what are they going to call normal DLSS once it gets to 2.9.9? DLSS 3 should have just been called DLFG since it is deep learning frame generation.
DLSS 2.10.0? Although the odds are fairly good that we’ll have a DLSS 4 by the time the next generation of GPU’s comes out.
Or simply 2.9.9.1?
2.9.10, lol
or 2.10.0
it’ll go to 2.10.0 as the 2 is version, it’s the 2nd generation DLSS
No, Nvidia will slow down support for DLSS 2 within a year. By then, DLSS 3 will take over.
DLSS 2 is the same thing as DLSS 3 as far as actual DLSS goes. The “3” part just means they’ve added frame generation. So when DLSS 3 takes over, it’ll still be DLSS 2.
Good that DLSS keeps improving, but won’t Rockstar ban you for replacing a DLL file for a game you rightfully purchased?
If you never purchase, they won’t find you.

Since his issue is multiplayer, pirated user is banned by default.
exactly … Thanks Empress for the fully offline mode added to this game
For my own testing this new version on shadow of tomb raider has a weird blur/doppler efect on lara croft body while moving the camera , that dont happen with dlss 2.3.2 included in the game , some games can look worse or have artifacts on this new version
More AI pixels… Yey!
There’s supposed to be a difference in these images? This is the hardest “find the difference” game I ever played.

both look gross.
You must be blind then. the hair difference is clear as day. More details.
I don’t see any difference.
The minuscule differences in pixel placement are likely tiny video compression differences that have nothing to do with the game.

You chose the scene where the difference was harder to see, it’s also clearer in motion.
Also this is pushing the upscaling by using Ultra Performance, 720p to 4K.
Been playing Cyberpunk with 2.5.1 since it dropped – Ultra Perf mode is
usable even at 1440p. I can run it on High with max RayTracing on my
humble 2060 🙂
Also dropping it into Witcher 3 also shows how much progress they made optimizing the Ultra Perf mode.
I like the efforts you have put in this, regards for all the great content.
Pretty! This has been a really wonderful post. Many thanks for providing these details.
I like the efforts you have put in this, regards for all the great content.
Awesome! Its genuinely remarkable post, I have got much clear idea regarding from this post
I do not even understand how I ended up here, but I assumed this publish used to be great
Nvidia silencing the haters yet again.
I want 240p upscaled to 4K.
Any game using DLSS 2.x can be upgraded with the latest DLL and get performance improvements. Actually the major improvements came with 2.5.0 and I had upgraded all my games that used it back before Christmas. I tried 2.5.1 with Witcher 3 but didn’t notice any difference between it and 2.5.0 because all it did really was add support for a couple of new games so most of mine are still running 2.5.0 ….. Now we will likely get just minor revisions until 2.6.x which will be the next major revision
A good place to get the latest DLSS DLL is at https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/
