NVIDIA Bundles Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate & Rainbow Six: Siege With The GTX970 & GTX980

NVIDIA has revealed its bundles for this Fall. Those interested in purchasing an NVIDIA GTX970 or an NVIDIA GTX980 will get a free copy of Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate or Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege.

According to the green team, this offer will last until 1/5/2016.

Since both of these games are sponsored by NVIDIA, it will be interesting to see if they pack any exclusive GameWorks effects.

Let’s not forget, however, that the promised tessellation effects for the PC version of Assassin’s Creed: Unity were not implemented after all.

  1. Gameworks can F off. I know i got far cry 4 with a bundle on a 980 and turning on any of the gameworks effects will freeze your computer or crash your video driver even now, nvidia simply has ignored the problem and moved on.

    1. I had a GTX690 at the time (680 SLi) and it played well with the gameworks features etc from what i remember. I know gameworks drops your in-game performance but if you have let’s say 80 fps then enable gameworks and get 72fps, what’s the deal? I did not experience any crashes or freeze. Maybe i was lucky ? Gameworks is not popular i know, but the effects are quite nice. It’s sad that you had such problems preventing you from playing a good game.

      1. 10% hit after enabling HairWorks, Godrays etc. Are you really think people here are that stupid. HairWorks alone take 3-4 times more hit alone.

        1. I see your point. But, are all systems the same ? No. It’s not because you take a 29fps hit that the dude next to you will take the same hit. Just so you know i’m not trying to defend gamework’s hit on performance. I’m just trying to say that if you like the effects, the hit is not THAT bad. Sure if you have a gtx660 and try to play batman AK, the game itself is a hit @performance lol.

        2. Going from ultra shadows to ‘gameworks’ Softshadows in fc4 causes my fps to go from ~75fps to ~50fps with very little difference. With a 980 the physx effects causes massive drops in fps batman ak at 1080p. It’s a joke you basically need sli to run any of these advertised features at a decent framerate even at lower resolutions.

    2. RS Siege is more of an example of new Havok FX physics than anything else. The only tech from GameWorks it has is HBAO+ I think.
Nvidia paied lot of money to colaboration with ubisoft and they will logically use it to promote their cards. AC always suxed in optimization, SIEGE on the other hand runs very well regardless of HW which is nice change from ubi these days.

  2. the performance is going to be dog s%^$%,i don’t understand why nvidia promote this piece crap.again and again and again !!

    1. last monday I got a great McLaren F1 since geting a check for $18350 this last 5 weeks and-a little over, 17-grand lass-month . it’s certainly the coolest job I have ever had . I actually started 10-months ago and practically straight away was bringing in minimum $97, p/h . read the full info here

    1. Is this a fact or an opinion ? Nowaday, everybody say that AMD and NVIDIA are stupid/crap/ignorant, maybe they have a deal going on and they don’t have a choice ? Or something else is up ?

  3. Nvidia giving Ubisoft…. 3rd times the charm chance? If I had to pick I would go with Siege since I know from the beta at least it plays…

  4. GTX 970 AND 980 are one year old now. Most people who wanted to buy them has already bought them. Why would anyone want to buy 1 year old card. They are still great cards and my 970 g1 gaming still plays all new games at max settngs 1440p DSR but i bought it on November. Who will buy it now one year later ?

    1. LMAO, what? Maybe because they are very power efficient/powerful cards for 1080p+ gaming? What other cards would you recommend in the pricerange when it comes to NVidia cards? The fact that they are 1 year old means nothing.

      1. Yeah lol. Maybe when the next gen cards come out.. sure but now? No. What we have is the best. I would also skip this gen however. I still got my 770 card and i’m totally fine with it. It will be a huge upgrade when i go from 770 to 1070. 😛

    2. LOL there are not any new cards out. GTX 970 has not been replaced and still sells for same price. Trolling much?

  5. Remember that Steam is invalided for this since it also includes the integrated GPU market share as well as Intel to which makes the share different.

According to the chart Nvidia owns 53.3% and Amd owns 27.03%, But remember what i said it also includes Intel which owns 19.27%, being nice to Amd lets divide that number by 2 and say Nvidia owns 62.933% and Amd owns 36.665%. We then have to factor in discrete only. When you do these things it makes a LOT of sense that Amd owns only 1/4 the market for discrete cards

          1. Steam clearly states who is using it lol. Not to mention they ones who might be using Intel GPU’s with discrete video cards would only really be using Nvidia cause its rare to even find a Amd discrete GPU for a laptop
