Ninja Theory’s Hellblade Is Coming To The PC, Will Support Mods

Ninja Theory (cluster-f*ck, we know) announced today that Hellblade – its previously exclusive PS4 title – will be coming to the PC. Not only that, but Hellblade on PC will support mods. Yeap, you read that right. Hellblade will be open to mods on the PC.

As Team Ninja Ninja Theory wrote on the game’s website:

“Weโ€™re excited to be bringing Hellblade to PC gamers and welcoming them into the Hellblade development journey. PC offers us fantastic opportunities to engage players in playtesting, usability testing and modding. We plan on grasping these opportunities with both hands to make Hellblade as good as it possibly can be for our fans.”

Kudos to our reader ‘John Vanitsidis’ for informing us first.

Ninja Theory has not revealed whether the game will hit simultaneously PC and PS4, or whether the PC version will get delayed.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

    1. All the Dualshillers crying to Guiseppe they lost another exclusive. Wonder when the damage control squad will hit here?

        1. PC gaming has been dead for quite a while. Infact I think my mom is f**ked less often compared to how often PC Gaming dies.

Well no more, since I shifted to PC, my mother is much more safe.

      1. a guy on dualshockers is saying “PRE-ORDERED CANCELLED”

like he was gonna buy it lol. they are salty right now

        1. Maybe he will pre-order the PC version now. I know I will. Heavenly Sword & Enslaved are both beautiful games and although I have not played DMC yet, I have heard great things about it despite the Dante hairstyle controversy. So I am greatly interested in what Ninja Theory can do with a the next-gen PC tech and modding support.

          1. DMC was excellent on PC. Mind you I played it with a PS3 Controller because I’m not a crazy person, but it was solidly excellent.

      2. sonyfags naturally buttmad because they struggle to find legit reason behind their bad purchase. gotta give some props to sony marketing team , they got the sheep by the balls

      1. Almost all games don’t feel right on consoles anymore (900p/30fps). On PC almost everyone has Xbox 360/One controllers and even the Dualshock 4 works even better on PC than it does on PS4. There is absolutely no advantage consoles have over a gaming PC. So I don’t know what you are talking about.

      2. Yeah man, its supposed to be on ps4, with that 24fps black border lock for the cinematic feel. You cant see more than 24fps anyway.

PC users destroy games by playing them at 144fps, and then playing at 4k when games like this are clearly meant to be played at 640×420. You cant see beyond 720p anyway meh whats the point.

          1. Why is it “meant” to be played like that, though? Is it less enjoyable playing it in a recliner or office chair? Are you saying that if you sit closer to the screen that it’s somehow LESS enjoyable? Is there some imaginary distance that you have to sit from your screen that instantly makes the game more fun? I play third-person hack and slashers with a 360 controller on my PC, sitting in an comfy reclining office chair all the time and they’re immensely enjoyable.

And you do realize that Playstation, a console, is just a PC, right? If you open up a Playstation there’s just computer parts in there.

Also, you do realize that there’s literally nothing stopping someone from playing Hellblade on a PC while sitting on a couch and using a wireless controller, right? Couches aren’t exclusive to people who opt to own consoles. Just an FYI.

    1. Fuzzing over some confirmation, I guess. We don’t want another GTA V where the dev kept quiet for such a long time that we began to think that they’ll skip the PC altogether. Especially after publishers started these little “exclusive” cold wars between them with the Tomb Raider sequel and Street Fighter V.

  1. Ninja Theory has made a great decision. This will actually help sell more console copies as well because having a PC version of a game creates lots more excitement and activity on the internet and helps to raise the hype level of a game tremendously especially for third party games.

  2. Omg ๐Ÿ™‚ for the first time in years, i don’t really feel the need to get the new consoles. Even Uncharted 2 made me wanna get a PS3(i didnt). But now? Theres nothing that i badly want, and we just keep getting more and more games from the console exclusives. ::P

  3. “welcoming them into the development journey”
    “playtesting, usability testing and modding”

    Early Access ?
by the way it doesn’t matter, they are really good at facial animations and they made some really good games and i like to try their new game, happy to see it on my platform.

  4. So Ninja Theory just announced the PC version. All the graphics in the so called real-time trailer were from the PC version (Don’t be fooled people). We haven’t seen what the PS4 version will look like. Very sneaky of Ninja Theory to announce the PS4 version first, get people to thinking that’s what the PS4 graphics will look like and then quietly work on the PC version behind doors and reveal it later. Anyway, happy it’s coming to the PC ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. “That’s pretty good.”
Not the fact that this game will be released on PC, but the fact that a lot of “exclusives” are arriving on PC soon. I really don’t care about this “better platform” bullshit. I like to play PC games. I enjoy playing console games on PC. And i like the fact that more and more companies are porting/releasing games on PC.
“Gracious! What a hero!” (speaking about PC platform)

  6. Golden Days of PC Gaming Glory coming back and better than ever!

Cheers for Console Devs decisions to bringing their Titles to PC ๐Ÿ˜€
