It appears that the next Battlefield game will come out in 2021. As DICE has stated, with the release of the latest update for both Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Battlefield 5, it can now focus on the future of Battlefield.
DICE stated that this new Battlefield game will be coming to next-gen platforms. According to the team, Battlefield 2021 will target new innovation that will be enabled by next-gen platforms. Therefore, we may see more Ray Tracing effects in this new Battlefield game.
EA also added:
“Bringing out Battlefield [in 2020], where the new console base is fairly small, doesn’t really give justice to the potential of the title, and so that’s part of our driver in moving the title into fiscal 22.”
By the sound of it, this new Battlefield game will come out only on next-gen platforms. In other words, this will be a fully fledged next-generation Battlefield game. Naturally, the game will be using the Frostbite Engine. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how this next-gen game will look like.
Let’s also not forget that the latest Star Wars Battlefront and Battlefield games looked amazing on the PC. So yeah, we are really looking forward to Battlefield 2021.

battlefield and tomb raider are very different. comparing in-game character from both games is absolutely no sense.
they just need to go back to a battlefield 3/4 style gameplay and throw to the trash any political or sjw agenda that might affect the game in any way

It’s also next gen. Next gen consoles are a HUGE leap from current gen, and we know that DICE are up there on the tech front.

2. dice might be amazing when it comes to graphics but look how crap other games made with their engine are
3. games are becoming too expensive to make requiring tremendous amount of money and manpower..or should i say peoplepower since the game industry is sjw now. So all we gonna get is always online sequels/spinoff aimed at the lowest common denominator nothing unique or interesting and it will always ship in a unfinished state. Also there is alot of whining about crunch lately causing alot of devs to form unions, unions dont work they only make development harder. So next gen you gonna see a ton of companies flopping and going bankrupt at the sheer pressure of those factors.
Next gen will be a shtshow.

Gonna be an extremely tough sell for me, after the stupid af stunt they pulled with BFV, from the horrible content drought, to the game not performing all that great, missing features, and who couldn’t forget the infamous “don’t like it, don’t buy it, everyone’s battlefield!”
It’s thanks to the last part, as well as the trailer, that served to just outright put me off buying BFV. This next BF is going to have to go back to BF 3-4 times, or I’m not buying. Get outta here with that inclusive crap, it’s a game about wars, not “gender diversity”.

No thank you. The past 5 games have been atrociously bad and I’m including Hardline which they didn’t even make and was way better than 4, mechanically. By the time BF 6 is released in late 2021 gfx card should have great ray tracing hardware and DirectX 12 Ultimate support
