Earlier this month, we shared a version of the non-VR mod for Half-Life: Alyx that allowed you to complete the whole game. Since then, the modder has been hard at work fixing and tweaking this mod. Thus, we are happy to present you today a more refined version of it.
This latest version of the non-VR mod for Half-Life: Alyx adds the ability to play in spectator mode. Moreover, it adds the ability to increase the FOV when playing in spectator mode. The modder has also added a profile of key bindings for WASD, for playing in spectator mode. Not only that, but r57zone has removed the annoying black corners.
The end result is a more refined and polished version of this non-VR mod for Half-Life: Alyx. And while it’s now a lot easier – and more pleasant – to play the game with a keyboard and mouse, it’s still not the optimal way. This is a VR game and you should use a VR headset for the ultimate experience.
