Focus Home Interactive and Deck13 have released new free content for The Surge 2. According to the press release, the free Future Shock Weapon Pack adds four new vicious weapon to the game. As said, and contrary to the Season Pass, this content is free to everyone.
This free Weapon Pack includes the deadly Golden Twin Blades and the devastating “EFH” Heavy Duty Weapon. It also packs the brutal Mangled Articulators Punching Gloves, and the versatile Golden Harvest Double Duty Weapon.
Focus Home Interactive has stated that more new content is coming to The Surge 2. However, the publisher did not clarify whether it will put behind the Season Pass wall or not.
The Surge 2 presents a harsh, sci-fi, dystopian world to explore and survive. Players can create their own character and decide how to approach the hardcore melee combat, putting their reactions and RPG character-building skills to the test. The game features deep character progression and customization, letting you decide how to equip yourself and handle enemies. Furthermore, The Surge 2 comes with many additions over the original game, including challenging but rewarding directional parries and companion drones. Lastly, limb-targeting and executions return new and improved, allowing players to loot and equip everything they see on their enemies.
You can download this new free content for The Surge 2 via Steam. You can also read our PC Performance Analysis article here.

76 hours in and still having a great time.
I still want to finish Code Vein before I start this one. I decided to wait on this one because of the reported performance problems, bad framepacing and bugs. Is that already fixed?
I’ve had no issues with it until I installed the latest Nvidia drivers 440.97. I’m running a 1080Ti FTW3, 3770k (still) and 32GB DDR3 at 1440p/60Hz. It’s one of the few games using Vulkan, which maybe explains some issues that people are having.
Waiting till this game hits GoG to buy it. Makes no sense to buy games at day one anyways since it takes devs a year to actually finish games these days. Can’t wait till this bad boy hits GoG. Will ride then for sure.
