Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition feature

Metro Exodus and Dead Island 2 have sold 8.5 million and 2 million copies, respectively

Embracer Group has announced that Metro Exodus and Dead Island 2 have sold 8.5 million and 2 million copies, respectively. According to the company, both of these two games have been successful, with Dead Island 2 hitting its 2 million goal in just a month.

Going into more details about Metro Exodus, Embracer Group claimed that the game has been played by more than 10 million people. Furthermore, Metro Exodus sold more than 500K units last quarter.

Metro Exodus came out in 2019, so it took the game almost four years in order to hit its 8.5 million goal. Its Enhanced Edition is also one of the few games that require an RT-capable GPU.

Let’s now hope that Embracer will reveal the next part of the Metro series. According to reports, 4A Games may already be working on it. So, from the looks of it, it will be only a matter of time before we return to its world.

As for Dead Island 2, I’m genuinely surprised by it. Not only was it an enjoyable game, but it also performed incredibly well on all platforms. Furthermore, it packed some truly amazing graphics. Yes, there wasn’t any dynamic time of day/weather, but its pre-baked solution was among the best we’ve seen so far.

Stay tuned for more!

  1. Metro Exodus was such a slog , I gave it 3-4 chances but it just couldn’t get into it . Graphics are phenomenal but the dread and claustrophobic feeling of the predecessors is missing . Hope the go back to linear route but I don’t know if there is going to be any other metro games as I don’t think they can offer much after Exodus .
No comments on generic hipster Californian trash that is Dead Island 2 .

    1. Metro Exodus felt like the world stops existing 20 meters around your character. It’s some of the worst permanence I’ve seen in a game.
In contrast, to know what I mean, nuPrey has the best permanence I’ve seen in a game. Every object you interact with will remain exactly as you left it for the entire game.

      1. Yeah Exodus felt like its build around your player where its predecessor made you feel lonely and hopeless . And the dialogue made me out of the game its like ARTIYOM !!! HEY ARTIYOM every second line its ARTIYOM …. who talks like that lol !

Prey (2017) was sublime experience which nails what it want to convey with its mechanics and ambience a true last AAA “Immersive” sim which is a dying genre unless someone makes new Deus Ex but with current pedigree of devs its not possible .

          1. True but indie devs are chasing the same trends rather than creating a fun feature rich games .
Most are chasing the same tired and tested AAA templates eg When Souls was successful every games added souls like mechanics but every one them lacked the architectural depth , lore and general atmosphere .
Only one game was successful capturing that it was Hollow Knight (which again created more copycats lol ).

          2. nah devs are also brainwashed by this kind of culture and game design as well, if this wasnt the case atomic heart wouldnt have reddit tier back and fourth dialogue like forspoken which is a japanesse game and wouldnt use so much looting and crafting and grinding filler crap or have mw2 weapon aminations. Sadly mainstream culture effects everything.

          3. Many of them are being forced to catter. It’s their problem they are unable to raise their voice. If enough of team members would do it, team leads and suits would have to give way.

          4. in 2015 That actress rodrigez said that they should stop taking white superheros and make their own, she was forced to apologized and now she is superwoman.

    2. You described my experience with horizon zero awards and god of soy, when it comes to metro exodus, i enjoyed the desert area but the extra question marks in the map were pointless, the rest of the maps were not that interesting. Overall the story sucked, too much blah blah blah without much quality, devs these days are like “we got 5 grabazilion of dialogues in it” cool but are they good or reddit tier back and fourth like atomic w@nk? Most of metro exodus was pointless, heck the entire story was pointless, the weapons were downgraded and felt worse. The graphics were amazing and pretty well optimized modern ports considering but the game was too much content instead of quality. Ashes 2063 was a much more enjoyable game.

      1. Same thing happened while playing God of Soy too LOL !
While playing my mind was like : How is this game called a masterpiece ?? the janky combat , retarded camera , retarded Son and Soy raged cucked Kratos who cant even jump (which was the major mechanics of the franchise) and the Visceral impact power fantasy all missing .
As for Horizon Zero the premise was so lame that it never appealed me .

  2. Didn’t really help Embracer as their $2 billion deal fell through and their stock took a MASSIVE hit of over 40%.

  3. If Dead Island 2 had crossplay co-op, there’s a great chance that I would’ve bought 2 copies in the near future (PC copy for me, Xbox copy for my friend), even with the timed Epic exclusivity. Since it doesn’t have it? Relegated to a post-Steam launch, deep discount sale. Not supporting crossplay is a huge L these days.
