Our reader ‘Gianluca Manocchio’ has informed about a new Kickstarter campaign for Mighty No.9, a classic Japanese side-scrolling action title that is being created by Megaman’s creator, Keiji Inafune. Mighty No. 9 promises to be an all-new Japanese side-scrolling action game that takes the best aspects of the 8- and 16-bit era classics we know, and transform them with modern tech and fresh mechanics.
Mighty No. 9 is being developed for the PC with gamepad support, and will be made available through Steam and DRM-free digital distribution methods. Other platforms, including home consoles, Mac, and Linux, are a high priority, but only if we can afford them via stretch goals.
The game is planned for a 2015 release, and Comcept USA aims to raise $900K in the next 30 days.

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
