Jane’s Advanced Strike Fighters launches next week on the PC

Maximum Family Games today revealed that Jane’s Advanced Strike Fighters (J.A.S.F.), the most recent installment of the Jane’s combat simulation games franchise, is scheduled to launch next week on leading game consoles including PlayStation 3 and PC. Staying true to the franchise’s original roots, Jane’s returns with another unique flight experience and an all-new lineup of fighters to fly. Players will once again find themselves soaring above the enemy in the most advanced and true-to-life jets from around the world.
Len Ciciretto, President of MFG said:
“In honoring the respected history and strong following of the Jane’s series, to bring fans of the franchise a truly thrilling addition with J.A.S.F. J.A.S.F. introduces a new storyline and unique evolution in gameplay as players will have to fight off aerial, ground, and naval forces from their position in the sky.”
Though the story is fictional, the aircraft, weapons, and warfare are modeled after recent historical events. Players will have the opportunity to take control of thirty different jets from three continents including the F-22A Raptor, F-35, and Russia’s new PAK-FA.
The game begins as players are thrust into the center of a civil war in the fictional country of Azbaristan, where they must defend themselves and their squadron against a vicious assault from sky, land, and sea. Armed with the latest military technology, players will face a “fight and flight” scenario as they attempt to reunify a once peaceful and proud country.
J.A.S.F. features 16-person multiplayer games, real-time radio communications via online networks, and 2 to 4 player co-op challenges. Players can take advantage of online interactions and extended gameplay options. And with the game being released on multiple platforms, more gamers can get in on the latest Jane’s action.
Ciciretto added:
“With J.A.S.F. being available on multiple consoles, we can encourage even more interaction and participation with family and friends. This game is sure to please flight simulation fans as well as anyone with a desire to live on the edge.”
J.A.S.F. will be available in November on PlayStation 3, PC, and other leading platforms and is rated T for Teen by the ESRB.
