Sony has announced that Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition will be coming to the PC on March 21st. To celebrate this announcement, the publisher shared a new PC trailer for it. So, be sure to watch it after the jump.
Nixxes has confirmed that Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition will have support for both DLSS 3 and FSR 3.0 at launch. And yes, the game will also support Intel’s XeSS. So, basically, the game will support all of the available PC upscaling techs. That’s cool.
PC players will be able to fully customize their mouse and keyboard controls. And, like all of the Sony games, it will support DirectStorage. Horizon Forbidden West on PC will also offer unlocked framerates and customizable graphics settings. Sadly, though, there won’t be an in-game benchmark tool. That’s a bit disappointing.
For those wondering, no. Horizon Forbidden West won’t have any Ray Tracing effects on PC. This doesn’t really surprise us. After all, the game did not have any RT effects on consoles. My guess is that Guerilla is already working on adding support for RT in its engine. As such, it would be a waste of time for Nixxes to implement its own Ray Tracing tech on the engine.
Lastly, Nixxes hasn’t shared yet the game’s PC system requirements. In theory, we should be getting them next month.

I wouldn’t hold my breath for it. Developer ShiftUp signing a 2nd party exclusivity deal greatly increases the chance of the game being censored to Soyny’s global (i.e. woke US) standards. They already seemed to have nerfed the butt jiggle physics, if you compare later trailers to earlier ones from when the game was still a multi-plat codenamed Project EVE.

One of the most endorsed and most downloaded HZD mods on nexus mods is the aloy face rework mod. Her modded face is still somewhat hard to look at, but it’s still miles better than the original game version.
The one game where a face rework is badly needed but no modders bothered with it would be Control. I want to play that game because the setting and atmosphere looks cool, but the protagonist is so incredibly ugly that I just can’t get around to it.

Was replaying Horizon Zero Dawn on PC last night and noticed the HDR is way off on PC compared to how I remember it being on PS4 Pro where I originally played it. To get proper contrast/brights at night, you end up with blown out highlights during the day. If you adjust for proper HDR during the day….you get black crush at night/dark scenes.
Hopefully the new one won’t have this issue. Unlike many in the comments section, I actually really liked the first game. Haven’t played the second game yet.

It’s def worse on 10. On 11 they have an hdr calibration app now that improves the experience quite a bit.
No it’s generally pretty great in most games with Windows 11. Cyberpunk 2077 is a blast. They added the Windows HDR Calibration tool to set a profile that takes into account peak brightness for 10% window as well as full field. Works very well. Something just off about the HDR in this game. Either that or there’s a problem with my new monitor. Haha.
