STALKER 2 new screenshots-3

Here are the final PC requirements for STALKER 2

Earlier this month, some media outlets shared some outdated PC requirements for STALKER 2. Those PC specs were from 2021, and they gave PC gamers the wrong idea about how the game would perform. Thankfully, though. GSC GameWorld shared its final PC specs. So, let’s take a look at them.

To run the game at 1080p/Low with 30FPS, PC gamers will need an Intel Core i7-7700K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X with 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060, an AMD Radeon RX 580 or an Intel Arc A750.

For gaming with 60FPS at 1080p/Medium, you’ll need an Intel Core i9 9700K or an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super, an RTX 4060 or an AMD Radeon RX 5700XT.

GSC GameWorld recommends an Intel Core i7-11700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X with 32GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti or Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT. With such a PC system, you will be able to play at 1440p/High with 60fps.

Finally, for 4K/Ultra with 60fps, you’ll need an Intel Core i7 13700KF or an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X with 32GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 or an AMD Radeon RX 7900XTX.

Sadly, though, these PC specs do not seem to represent the performance you’ll get at native resolutions. NVIDIA has shared some early benchmarks, in which the RTX 4090 can push around 54FPS at Native 4K/Ultra. To get framerates higher than 60FPS, you’ll need DLSS 3.

STALKER 2 NVIDIA benchmarks

So, in a way, these final PC specs are also a bit misleading. After all, GSC GameWorld has not included DLSS/FSR in its PC specs. And, to be honest, it was obvious to me that the RTX 4090 would need DLSS 3 to hit framerates higher than 60FPS. Let’s not forget that STALKER 2 uses Lumen. So yeah, it was to be expected.

GSC GameWorld will release STALKER 2 on November 20th.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

    1. I think it might use like 12 gigs at those settings, and they're probably accounting for 4 gigs or more for background usage (such as windows services, tasks, steam, other 3rd party apps, etc). Since the next step up from 16GB of system RAM is 32GB for most people, they likely just went with that as the recommendation.

        1. its pretty sad that i pointed out the requirements are fake and it wont use all of that and you double down on your stupidity.

          1. God you are stupid. No one is dumb enough to think that a recommended system memory specification means that it's going to use all of it. Get through your pea-sized brain that 32 is recommended since 16 will be pushing it.

        1. Again, no one is dumb enough to think it's going to use all 32 gigs. Everyone else can figure out that 32 is recommended simply because 16 is going to be borderline if not enough.

    2. what a stupid thing to say. are you truly so dumb that you cant comprehend that the typical ram setup would be 16 or 32 so if 16 is borderline then of course 32 would be the next step to be recommended.

        1. You are clearly too stupid to even realize how stupid you are. Asking if it will use all 32 gigs is an idiotic question to begin with. Nobody is even dumb enough to think it will. Everyone else has enough common sense to know that 32 is the step up from 16 so that is why 32 is recommended.

    1. yeah came here to comment just on that, oof I don't have the energy for these monsters anymore just too much hassle, time to dl, install, find the room, wait for mods to make it playable w tricks and fixes etc The sheer lazyness and arrogance of these game makers is astouding. Repackers will likely get the dl down to half or less cutting out the fat and unnecessary language files but still. I'd rather boot up the first trilogy and have fun w that, same goes for so many og games.

    1. Let's be real, the game is gonna be close to or straight up a technical mess. The first trilogy already was, and seeing these requirements…

Well, they're under a war. I can't blame them as hard and cold as other cases.

…But I'd bet it's very much "wait 6 to 12 months" to play it after it got fixed and optimized a bit. And on top of that, if it's a good game at all.

      1. Well, they're under a war. I can't blame them as hard and cold as other cases.

The devs are working out of a cozy studio in Prague. It's not like they do gunfiring skirmishes in between development sessions.

        1. NOW. What’s your point?
I’ll rectify, but they WERE at some point, project gets disrupted and slowed down, people start working remotely, management and coordination is less tight and efficient, several delays…
Can’t brush that off like it didn’t exist.

          1. My point is that GSC developers en masse (one-two guys is an exception to the rule) don't fight in the actual war.

          2. Dude, you don’t need to have your staff soldiering in a war to be disrupted if you have bombings and invasions in your country and it could get to you any day!

          3. Dude, once there was any risk of disruption the studio has packed their bags and left for Chech Republic. Which is not being bombed by Russia.

          4. My point is that GSC developers en masse (one-two guys is an exception to the rule) don't fight in the actual war.

    2. But I hear people saying, "if any game serves to be pre-ordered is this one". GSK world, takes care of their customers, blah blah. They'd come up with any excuse to worship another develop. The stans are everywhere.

    3. I get your frustration but its 2024, if you dont have at least a 1tb SSD and 32gb of ram maybe you should move to consoles or quit the hobby. Gaming is a luxury afteral. 1tb SSDs cost like 50eu and 32gb of ram can be found for like 80-90eu tops for the good stuff and less for the good enough stuff.

      1. What is this?

A snob Greek telling others that they should have 32GB of RAM or move to consoles?!

If it wasn't for the rest of Europe bailing your broke -ss out, you would be a 3rd world country using typewriters right now.

People can have as much RAM or as little as they want. Stfu.

  1. How come you're coming after me for doing a better job than you if your sales are that good? –Ryujinx

Yeah, I was the first to fall to your antics Nintendog. -Yuzu

You folks never learn, there has to be a martyr. -Nintendo

  2. Charts like this with DLSS and frame gen included are useless.
Also I own the gamepass version, which usually comes without DLSS and frame gen

  3. When people complain about install sizes, it's really multifaceted.

-You have to download 160GB, which takes hours.
-You have to deal with data caps with many ISP.
-It takes up a lot of room on an SSD.
    -More chance of corrupted files.
-And worst of all, the game itself usually starts up slow and feels slow, due to all the assets that need to be loaded. If I want to watch a movie, I don't want to sit there for 10 minutes of loading and shader compilation, how is this acceptable in gaming?

If gaming is meant to be enjoyable, then 160GB games is an extremely inefficient way to do it.

My most played and liked games are like 2GB 2D indie games.

  5. I knew it it's gonna disappoint one way or another. This game is infested with optimization issue. At least it won't be infested with wokeness. Back to the 2007 again.
