Halo 5: Forge is coming to the PC on September 8th

Microsoft has just announced that Halo 5: Forge will be coming to the PC on September 8th. According to Microsoft, Halo 5: Forge will be coming as a free download via the Windows Store on Windows 10 PCs, and will let map makers share and play new levels, maps, and experiences across Windows 10 PC and Xbox One.

As Microsoft noted:

“First announced back in May, we’ve partnered with our friends at SkyBox Labs to bring the entire Forge level-creation experience from Halo 5: Guardians to Windows 10, with support for mouse and keyboard for highly refined object placement and manipulation, higher-resolution displays (including 4k) for stunning graphic fidelity, the ability to host and play custom matches for up to 16 players, and a new content browser that spans platforms. Creators will be able to download levels from the Forge community created on both Windows 10 PC and Xbox One, which they can then customize, or create their own from scratch. Halo 5: Forge opens the door to new possibilities in Halo 5: Guardians and beyond.”

And that is that. It will be interesting to see what the PC community can create with this free Level Editor.
