343 Industries and Microsoft have announced that the beta testing/flighting phase for Halo 2: Anniversary will begin later today. 343 Industries will send invites in a few hours and the beta phase will begin on April 17th.
PSA: All Ring 3 blockers have been resolved at this time for Halo 2 and Halo 2: Anniversary flighting to begin on Friday, 4/17. We will let folks know when buttons are being pressed for invites to roll out. Stay tuned to get tactical Marines!

What this ultimately means for rest of us is that the release of Halo 2: Anniversary is really close. Once this final flight ends, Microsoft and 343 Industries will further polish the game and release it on Steam.
Halo 2: Anniversary will support 4K UHD resolutions and HDR. Moreover, it will support mouse and keyboard, will have proper on-screen indicators, and will have other native PC features.
