Halo 2: Anniversary beta flighting begins later today

343 Industries and Microsoft have announced that the beta testing/flighting phase for Halo 2: Anniversary will begin later today. 343 Industries will send invites in a few hours and the beta phase will begin on April 17th.

What this ultimately means for rest of us is that the release of Halo 2: Anniversary is really close. Once this final flight ends, Microsoft and 343 Industries will further polish the game and release it on Steam.

Halo 2: Anniversary will support 4K UHD resolutions and HDR. Moreover, it will support mouse and keyboard, will have proper on-screen indicators, and will have other native PC features.

“Celebrating Halo 2’s 10-year anniversary, the iconic fan favorite returns, featuring a fully re-mastered campaign with “Classic Mode” letting you instantly switch between the re-mastered game and the original game from 2004. Explore extended cut scenes, hidden terminal videos, and utilize all new skulls to experience the campaign in a whole new way.”
