As Rockstar noted, these additional weeks will give the development team enough time to further polish the PC version.

Rockstar claimed that the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V is its most graphically and technically advanced version yet, as it will be fully optimized to support a broad range of current hardware and will feature a host of PC-specific enhancements – including greater levels of detail, deep configuration options and ultra-high-definition support – as well as the powerful new Rockstar Editor for recording, staging and editing original custom videos.
And that is that everyone. Let’s hope that this extra delay will be worth it!

It was already “delayed” from the get go (the PS3/360 version was released 17 September 2013). So, basically…. they had the time for optimisations and they still delayed the game twice or thrice (depends on how you look at it). Cmon……

Denuvo is not confirmed and one of the co-founders of Denuvo said GTA V has nothing to do with Denuvo.
BTW FIFA 15 and DA:I are cracked…. and same will happen with Lords of the Fallen (soon) but they (Chinese P2P group 3DM) delayed the release because of the Chinese New Year.

Piracy is less relevant on pc than ever before and pc gaming sales rise every year. More and more devs put their games on pc, 50% of devs put their games on pc, even japanesse studios and previously console only devs put their games on pc now.

San diego who made the game never made anything on pc, they also made the rage engine and looking how gta iv turned on pc and how max payne 3 shipped with the latest version of the engine and not gta v, i think its clear the engine rdr using is a mess.
Still rockstar new england too bully out of renderware and ported it to gamebryo and put it on pc/x360/wii so there is a chance.
I am almost certain the delay is necessary for them to spruce up the anti-piracy methods used in the game.

If every developer agressively puts games on pc the last 2 years and i cant stop reading how a new japanesse or some other indie, kickstarter or console exlusive game comes to pc…then how is piracy keeping devs on pc? Pc even got red mountain a wii exlusive.
Seems to me that both bungie and rockstar have techinical issues and they dont know how to put those games on pc and that is the reason.
Dont forget that destiny is always online so it cant be pirated and that nearly every other rockstar game apart from RDR is on pc.

Some games sell better on pc look at santcum 2, some sell better on consoles look at assasin creed and cod.
Some times games sell well on pc, look at stalker, but due to publishing righs and not selling enough copies in the regions the publisher wants to sell the whole thing goes under.

it isn’t just a few lost sales, you can look at public earnings reports compare that with the download statistics on torrents, thats what they see, the financial situation should be clear.

No proof of that either, in 2008 2k didnt have anything other than gta iv, which was NOT available on pc and 2009 was subpar for 2k.

I’ll probably get down voted, but Rockstar Games do seem to care about their community on the PC, as GTA IV was a terrible port; then there they did not bring Red Dead Redemption to PC, but they bought L.A Noire, working with nVidia with great GameWorks from nVidia’ side, as well as 3D Vision. They also did a splendid job on Max Payne 3 back in 2012. It was amazing to see how they managed to optimize their (RAGE) engine that good. For now, the more time they use, the better I assume. If I got it correctly of their page, it was to launch the Heist DLC Content on consoles March 10, so it has a good start, then deliver a great product, which is *hopefully* is really finished.
I mean, I’d give some faith to it; I’m tired of these Id Engine games from Bethesda, or going crazy with pretty much any Ubisoft title that was released two three months ago.
