Josh Romito has released a new version of his graphics overhaul for Grand Theft Auto V, GTA5Redux. According to the modder, this new version of his mod is compatible with the latest version of the game and adds a GTA 5 Redux intro video and a GTA 5 Redux menu logo.
In addition, GTA5Redux version 1.3 improves NPC physics, comes with some enhancements/improvements/tweaks for animations, and completely removes ENB as it caused too many instability issues with very little improvement to graphics.
In case you weren’t aware of, GTA5Redux overhauls the game’s visuals and features brand new, 4k, fire, explosion, smoke, particle effects, and new debris textures, as well as newly worked physics and explosive reactions, as well as an entirely overhauled weapon system.
Those interested can download GTA5Redux version 1.3 from here. The modder is also working on a brand new version, 1.4, and we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

This Redux mod is actually very demanding on the PC/Hardware. Needs a beefy RIG for sure.
.
Don’t get this mod. The author’s an a$$hole who ripped off tons of work from many other mod author’s.
I’ve also heard about this, but is it really TRUE, or just a misunderstanding in the gaming community ?
Did he plagiarize other modder’s work as his own ?
It’s true. He literally copied the files from other mods and added them to his own. The values he chose for his timecycle files were EXACT copies of other mods. That sort of thing doesn’t happen by accident.
Okay, that’s very bad. At least he should credit other Modders, if he is trying to include their work with his own.
I won’t mind having a compilation MOD of some sort, but not like this, where the content has been stolen from other sources, just to being claimed it was his/her own work in the end.
That kind of sucks, tbh.
I’m downloading it now. However, I won’t use this mod if you provide some proof of what you’re saying.
This mod needs you to make a copy of your entire GTA directory. It’s a massive waste of space.

Thanks man! I guess Visual V is the mod to go with then? I’m new to the GTA modding scene.
Is this trustfull? I see it’s from Russia and it wanted to install various SW. Is it virus free (safe)?
I don’t think such gaming MODs are going to contain some malware/virus, or trojan though.
Should be safe to install, IMO, unless you try installing it from some other unknown link/source. I haven’t tried it myself though.
MOD itself is not a problem. But you have to install one application, some add-ons and one script to use it. That’s what I’m afraid of.
Okay…What’s the name of the application ?
Application: Open IV
Add-Ons k Open IV: ASI Loader, OpenIV.ASI
Script: ScriptHookV
I don’t know yet, if I can trust this…
Yup, you can safely trust this.
OpenIV is a multi-purpose editor and archive manager for PC versions of Grand Theft Auto V, Grand Theft Auto IV/EFLC and Max Payne 3.
And, the OpenIV.ASI is the plugin. Script Hook V is the library that allows to use GTA V script native functions in custom *.asi plugin.
I don’t see any serious threat in using any of these, though sometimes your AntiVirus/Firewall might give a False positive warning, which you can easily ignore.
I’m also adding the links below as well, but they will take time to get approved by the mod/DSOG, before we can view them here.
OK. Thanks for answers. I already downloaded all above from official sources according to mod installation guide. But I never use it before so I didn’t know what to think about its security.
Just tried 1.3, waaay to much modification..and the game crashes as i was about to enter the car getaway right on the first mission..waste of time..goin back to VisualV.
