IllFonic has announced that Friday the 13th: The Game will receive an engine upgrade that will be coming in the next game update. In order to showcase these upgrades, the team has released a comparison video between the new and the old engines powering the game.
Now I have to be honest here; there aren’t many graphical changes. IllFonic claims that the footage presented here is still a Work In Progress, however it seems like the new version is simply darker than the previous one.
Here is hoping that the end result will be better than what is being showcased here!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
