It appears that Rockstar Games is indeed working on the next part of the GTA series, Grand Theft Auto 6. According to the resume of an ex-Rockstar developer, Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently under development.
Bibin Michael who is an experienced 3d Game Artist stated on his resume that he worked on GTA6 (sometime between December 2017 and April 2018). Bibin Michael was also credited in Red Dead Redemption 2, so this appears to be a legit leak.
Now since the artist may edit his resume, we went ahead and captured a screenshot of it.
Unfortunately that’s the only thing we’ve got for the next Grand Theft Auto game. We’ve seen some rumours floating around about what it will be, however these rumours do not appear to be that trustworthy. Still, the good news is that GTA 6 (or GTA VI if you prefer) is under development and will be, most likely, a next-generation title.
Here is hoping that Rockstar and 2K Games won’t pull another Red Dead Redemption 2 on us, and that Grand Theft Auto 6 will release on the PC after a 6-month period from its console release (we can safely assume that it won’t be releasing alongside it). According to the latest rumours, 2K Games may announce Red Dead Redemption 2 for the PC on April 22nd, so stay tuned for more.
Kudos to GTAForums member ApolloThunder for discovering this.

Considering the rampant cheating in GTA online on PC causing literally endless problems, Rockstar’s hatred of the PC platform is probably well founded at the end of the day.
They will delay release of the core game until the GTA Online variant is ready for PC again in all likelihood, which will be aeons if at all.
“literally”
They haven’t done much to fix cheating to this day, it’s still rampant.
why spend money and time fixing it? still got a million dummies buying shark cards and microtransactions.
Sony relocated their US headquarters to California not so long ago so it’s of little surprise that they’ve been infected with SJW cancer.
Soyny, indeed.
“Soyny” 😀 that’s brilliant
R*, actually any AAA, absolutely does not hold “hatred” for the biggest money making platform next to mobile. Execs speak out of frustration when we force them to work and earn their money by making real games (or improve their abominations) with less microtransactions. ALL companies could not care less about cheaters bothering you or any other paying customer unless it hurts microtransactions profits. Bans start when it affects their money.
The real reason R* games come later on PC is because most PC owners also have consoles and Take Two knows they can get the double dippers who want to play with the best graphics, fps, and mods (includes triple dippers if you count GTA V from last gen). I know a few PC owners so frustrated with how blurry RDR2 on the Pro looked they specifically bought an XboneX AND another deluxe copy of the game! It’s basically a guaranteed sale for every PC owner at some point regardless of when it hits so they force the waiting and it works, which = billions for R*. FOMO is a marketing technique. Everyone is talking and playing, which is a big reason that Twitch is used for marketing via ad hoc advertising through paid off streamers posing as “regular old gamers” like us, and not like the shills they are.
But now things are a bit different with their online portion. With the massive popularity of nopixel, and other mods/servers, it’s guaranteed they will support PC faster than ever before (probably hoping nopixel will hit RDR2). However, Take Two/R* have enough money to make sure to string PC along just enough to once again grab those double dippers, just like they did with RDR2.
Almost all of the PC platform’s revenue comes from China/Asia where consoles are not established fwiw, and the odds of GTA being released there are comically low.
oh wow what a surprise.
Mild shock
That resume is full of typos (like “studious”) and strange wordings (like “highly precious vehicle art”)
Of course it’s in the works after the shitload of money Gta V made, duh.
It was pretty obvious that they would be working on GTA VI. The last one sold over 100 million copies and generated a revenue of 6 billion dollars and that was towards the end of 2018. I’m sure the figures are higher now. It’s also been reported that it is the most profitable entertainment product ever released.
It will come for console first and then later on PC. I think Rockstar does the staggered releases in hopes of selling the game twice to people who own a PC and console.
That billion dollar game that earns them a sh*t ton of money managed to get a sequel?
Shocked! Absolutely shocked I tell ya!!
Of course it’s coming, who ever thinks it’s not is crazy. With thay said, Rockstar/Take Two have the opportunity to go for a triple dip in three different generations with GTA VI. We all know they’ll do two, but will they pull that off? We shall see.
Three*
They did three last time and they’ll do it again. 360/XB1/PC , this one will be XB1/PS5/PC through epic.
PS4/PS5/PC
I suppose this ‘leaked’ news may be well received by Take-Two Interactive’s troubled shareholders who’ve witnessed a dramatic slump in the value of their investment following the ongoing commercial disappointment that is Red Dead Online.
Share price October 2018: $137.99
Share price today: $90.91
Ree dead online was total disaster
who cares about online give us great single player like dmc 5 re2 sekiro e.ttc that WHAT WE WANT
Yeh I’m just happy that red dead online was total disaster we have enough mp games
Now we need fortinte and all others mmos to fail too!
shareholders do, that’s what he’s saying – gamers care about good games of course, not money grabbing
Take Two. Take Two cares exclusively about online.
See: GTA5, RDR2
Very little to do with why Take-Two is down. All of the tech industry has been down the past six months compared to where they were, which drove down their stock price.
I guess that massive correction that occured has nothing to do with why it’s down, its simply what gamers want to decide made it fail. Wildly successful Red Dead Redemption 2 totally caused the stock to fall.
Game nearly made a billion dollars the first week it released which broke records, but f*ck that they’re doing awful.
What you people fail to realize is that despite that imagined reason, the company still has great earnings and they still have growth in the company.
Playing pretend stock analyst is a new hobby of gamers but it’s no way to determine if a company is dying out or doing poorly, especially when they don’t know d*ck about the market or how it works.
Such pomposity and ignorance from you yet again.
My hope went through the window when that GTA director left T2I or Rockstar, I can’t remember. It eas couple of years back. But this is certainly good news and hopefully not fake.
CAPTAIN OBVIOUS !!!
At this point, I don’t care. R* massively delays their PC ports these days, as well as catering more and more to their “whale” like console userbase. They still treat PC like a second class citizen, so why should I bother caring, let alone getting hyped for yet another mediocre game, and a late port?.
Big if true
They’re working on it… obviously, you don’t build a massive open world the size of GTA V. All the assets that have to be created and tested… the sound recording, voice acting… it doesn’t happen in just 7 days…
RDR2 will be never on PC – this game was made for consol only, RDR 1 was also not on PC
GTA 6 first will be on Consol, then maybe after 1 or 2 years on PC.
RDR 2 It will not be on your PC, but on your PC only if you do not want it, because here in my PC with absolute certainty I will play the best version of Red Dead Redemption 2 !!!
After the absurd sales of GTA 5 on PC (over 12 million digital copies only), do you think Rockstar would be crazy not to launch any PC game and lose this thousands of dollars fortune? !!! Think carefully!!!
if it’s so obvious, why it is not yet ?
And why RDR1 never was? they did not want money??
R star is already busy with GTA6.
Yes, RDR2 can be on your PC, once when it’s a emulator for PS4
evrything is coming to pc nowdays only nitendo and sony games are not on pc so we will get it anyway!. and with 10 times better graphics than any console!
you can not be 100% sure.
These are just your wishes.
The times are now different, at the time of RDR 1 the PC was seen as a platform where shared games (cracked games) reigned, there was no still Steam that caused the sale of games on the PC to take off to stratospheric levels never seen before and the engine used by Rockstar for RDR 1 is extremely buggy and full of problems and at the time they did not have enough knowledge to work with this engine, so RDR had a version with many problems on PS3 with various graphics problems and low framerate, for these reasons Rockstar has given up a PC version, but with RDR 2 the story is totally different because it uses Unreal Engine 4, where they already have a lot of knowledge and it will be very easy to carry the game to PC !!!
Unreal Engine 4 ???
NO
RAGE, Euphoria
imo RDR1 was a different story. I recall a spokesperson for Rockstar saying that it just wasn’t worth the investment in time to port it to PC. Those were the days of the Xbox 360 and PS3. I don’t think they thought the sales on PC would have been worth the investment in time but I think they were wrong. Porting to PC is much easier now with today’s consoles.
I will be surprised if RDR2 doesn’t come to PC at some point.
I will be surprised, if it comes on PC
Get ready to be surprised then!
“And why RDR1 never was”
Because that game was made on the earliest version of the rage engine, yes the version was worse than gta iv which was a mess on pc. Max payne 3 shipped with the latest version of the rage engine not gta v and it was optimized for pc, then it was updated for next gen and pc release of gta v.
There are also different studios RDR was made by a studio who never made a pc game before. Bully was ported to pc and x360 by rockstar leeds or new england.
exactly,
this is one of the main reasons why RDR2 will not be on PC
weak troll.
Its not even a surprise, they will always develop GTA, then another game, then GTA again and it takes 3~5 years each game.
>rockstar not double dipping in two generations, or tripple dipping in three for the release of GTA VI
>rockstar releasing GTA VI at the same time on PC
Pick one
SoyKnutz has spoken, ladies and gentlemen. I’m sure Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive will take note!
I really hope it will contain new features and fresh ideas!! Some good surprises, you know!
I want 80s setting again like vice city…
I would like 70, 80, 90 anything but modern setting. But serious doubt that we will get anything like that 🙁
How weird is that?
They made a best selling game and now they make a new version
Thank goodness because we haven’t had overrated trash in a while. I can’t wait for the next massive disappointment in the GTA series. Used to be such a good game and ever since 4 it’s just not.
GTA5 didn’t even have MTs. That’s how little of an F they gave about the game – it had no additional content whatsoever except for GTA Online, which yes, had 423897231489428792487 microtransactions.
Whats next ? New CoD is in the works too??? Wow, total shock for sure!
This just in new Assassin creed is also in works !
Former ex Rockstar employee here. The next GTA will take place in medieval Norway and feature a cast of eight characters, each with their own unique sexual identity.
The adventure starts when the fair maiden Bloerg realizes he’s getting shafted on the ale prices at the local tavern. This leads to a sexually charged scene where the innkeeper Smoergoes has to reach into Bloerg’s pocket to see what he can find.
Eight years later Bloerg still has that same pocket with him and cherishes that faithful night. That’s when he meets Stromhulda – an elk trapped in a womans body.
That’s all I can share for now.
Will there be more than 2 genders?
This is very important
Yep there is one character who identifies itself as a boat.
But but it can’t be named GTA, It would be named RAID ENGLAND KINGDOMS aka REK or something like that.
Rockstar died midway into GTAIVs rocky development
Because gta iv wasnt a borefest?
Of course after the success of GTA V (and honestly the whole series except IV), it’s pretty obvious. But one thing that I’m not buying is the employee’s resume, no professional individual writes such a “crappy” resume without paying attention to the orthography. I mean, dlc instead of DLC? gta6 instead of GTA 6? Please…
It has to be Florida, nowhere else would accept this game
Nope. We’ll have a story about it pretty soon.
