Square Enix has announced that the first gameplay footage for Marvel’s Avengers will be released online the week after Gamescom finishes. Moreover, Square Enix presented earlier today a gameplay demo at SDCC 2019.

Marvel’s Avengers is a story-driven, 3rd-person action-adventure game in which players will be able to reassemble & rebuild their Avengers roster in the cinematic single-player campaign, then battle solo or online alongside friends in new missions around the globe.
Square Enix has also revealed some new information about the A-Day demo that was shown at SDCC 2019.

According to the team, A-Day sets the stage for the rest of the game. Blamed for the tragedy that occurs in A-Day, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
First up, The God of Thunder! Thor is the first to arrive at Golden Gate Bridge to help civilians and deal with the masked men wreaking havoc. He performs a variety of heavy and light attacks, both on the ground and in the air.

Iron Man now flies across the ruins of the Golden Gate bridge, deftly dodging rockets as he speeds towards the threat. His pulsar blasts & micro rockets take out grounded & airborne enemies. Tony's Heroic Unibeam Blast deals massive damage to a group of assailants.

Back on (semi) solid ground, Black Widow attacks Taskmaster with her wide array of acrobatic abilities and weapons, including electrified batons. Her Heroic cloaks her with invisibility, allowing Natasha to best Taskmaster's photographic reflexes.

The only hope this game has of being good, is if SE did not stick their idiotic noses in it, and let Eidos Montreal make the game they wanted to. I call them EA Japan myself, as you can practically make a 1:1 comparison of the two cancerous companies.
The last game SE developed internally that didn’t end up the bargain bin within 60 days, was FF XIII, only because people hadn’t caught on yet.
Follow up XIII games, XIV, XV, KH3, etc. etc. All bargain bin garbage within two months of release. The only good stuff to come out of this company in the last decade and a half, has been third party published stuff, and even those don’t have the greatest track record.
tl;dr: Don’t hold your breath on this pile of trash. SE has an uncanny knack of destroying almost every game they publish.
