Larian Studios announced today the release of new content to Divinity: Original Sin in the form of a juicy update. The Bear and the Burglar DLC pack is available for free via Steam, improves co-op dialogue by streamlining lengthy discussions, and adds two brand new companions with unique story arcs who can join your party as you set off to save Rivellon.
To get The Bear and the Burglar DLC, you’ll just have to download it from Steam or update the game via GOG.com.
You can find both companions in Cyseal when you start a new game, after you’ve downloaded the DLC.
The DLC is also localized into German, French and Russian.
Enjoy!

It sold over 500.000 copies already, Larian is into the profit area now. Good thing is that RPGs keep selling over the years, unlike other , more ‘abused’ genres, I can see them hitting 2 million units sold within 2 years.
It will be a big hit during sales, that’s for sure.
i hope they reach that 2m sooner
Games sell on consoles. A big hit only sells on PC for 500K copies? That’s very low. I’d expected higher. But PC gamers have been spoilt to buy games when they are dirt cheap.
Consoles have 2 games per month. PC has 2 (at least) per day in various genres. When people have many choices they buy many different things, and yes, they wait for a sale to buy even more.
Yeah, we buy games cheaper, but we buy a lot more games. Which I like, because the $$ I spend is spread across a lot of different developers, AAA and indie alike.
They make more profit (probably about double) selling a game on PC than on console (no retailers, packaging, distribution, etc). And the game hasn’t been on sale *once* yet and is still a top seller on Steam.
Let’s not forget Original Sin is a turn-based RPG, and it was on and off the Steam top 10 until now. At 39.99. Usually it’s the AAA productions that don’t break even unles they sell millions of copies.
I wasn’t interested in games like this but I bought it to try out. Got 62 hours of great gameplay, couldn’t be happier.
As for older games, you should play Fallout 1 and 2, Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2 (not the shit ‘enhanced’ editions), Planescape Torment and Arcanum. That’s just for starters and those games alone are worth hundreds upon hundreds of quality CRPG entertainment. As for upcoming games be sure to check out Wasteland 2, Pillars of Eternity and Torment: Tides of Numenara. But really, all that is just the tip of the iceberg.
Yeah the thing is I tried the old fallouts but they were simply too old gameplay and graphics wise. Also the game mechanics with the v.a.t.s. were rather boring. I think it’s because I’m only 21 and I never lived the age when games like that were a thing. No nostalgia etc.. But thanks for the suggestions, I’ll check out those other ones.
I’m really looking forward to Wasteland though, only 2 days left if I’m correct. Pillars looks like it could be good, it’s still more oldschool than divinity.
