Condemned fans, here is something for you today. Obelisk Studio is currently working on a first-person survival horror game which will have an intense combat, similar to that of Condemned. This new game is called Displacement, and below you can find its debut gameplay trailer.
In this game, players will dive into madness and fight to survive in a brutal blood-soaked frenzy, where every encounter is a deadly dance. Players will be able to use everything at their disposal to take down their enemies. You will be able to use fire, ice, fists, and improvised weapons.
Displacement will have 20 melee weapons. Every weapon will have its strengths, weaknesses, and distinct combat style. Moreover, players will make brutal executions with each of the weapons. Plus, the will be able to turn the environment into a weapon. For instance, they will be able to flip tables, throw enemies off ledges, break, smash, and strike with anything they can grab.
The game also promises to have a dynamic temperature system and puzzles. Players will be able to wield a powerful device that lets you heat up or freeze objects at will. Thus, you will be able to solve temperature-based puzzles. You will also be able to use temperature creatively in combat. Moreover, you can expect to find a fully dynamic thermal system.
Although there isn’t an ETA for when the game will come out, the devs have shared its PC system requirements. So, let’s take a look at them.
