Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is available for only 17€ for the next 40 hours

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided almost made it to our Top 10 most optimized PC games of 2016. As such, and since this is a great game (even though it ends right when things are getting interesting), we thought we should share this special Steam offer.

For the next 40 hours, Square Enix is offering Deus Ex: Mankind Divided with a huge 67% discount on Steam. This basically means that you can get it for only 17€. Now that’s a great discount.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is powered by the Dawn Engine and supports both DX11 and DX12. As we’ve already said, there are some performance issues in DX12 (mainly in Prague and these issues affect both NVIDIA’s and AMD’s GPUs), however the game performs very good in DX11.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided features great visuals, a plethora of settings to tweak, and comes with numerous gameplay/UI settings (as well as a Field of View slider).

EIDOS Montreal and NIXXES have released several patches for this game, and we are pretty sure that a lot of gamers will be able to enjoy it (provided they avoid enabling MSAA).

Have fun!

  1. “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has also made it to our Top 10 most optimized PC games of 2016.”

Pretty sure it wasn’t in the top 10.

    1. I keep getting tempted, but I still haven’t actually completed the last game (doh!) and as others have said I’d rather wait for a director’s cut/complete edition with all of the patches included. I’ve been keeping an eye on the patches and I think there’s still a few big ones left to come out 🙂

      1. That’s what I thought…
Does anyone else feel like the writers of DSOG are oblivious to anything outside their office?

  2. Still not worth it, wait for the complete edition (at this state the game is not finished yet) in a few months and maybe without that cancerous DRM.

  3. What? Deus Ex: Manking Divided almost made it to the Top Ten most optimized games list? A game that needs SLI/Crossfire to be maxed out at 1080P @ 60FPS? A game that most of the time doesn’t look one bit as good as its requirements are? Was there a secret patch I wasn’t aware of since its release?

  4. Can someone tell me if this game worth for this price ??? Cause I m in a lot of doubt even tho I liked human revolution a lot :I

    1. Nope, hold for the Director’s Cut. There’s a great game underneath all the issues, but it needs more than just half a dozen bug-fix patches to sort itself out, unfortunately.

    1. MSAA runs badly in all contemporary engines. It’s a legacy feature at this point. This is the reason all those “temporal” solutions exist. We didn’t need those in the days of HL2 when 16xMSAA was practically free. Aliasing was a non-issue in the past.

        1. Are you denying what I said there, about MSAAx16 being basically free in old engines? It absolutely was a non-issue except maybe for some things like transparent materials. Regular screenshots from old games at 1280×1024 look like downsampled 4K shots to contemporary viewers. Just look at some old screenshots if you weren’t around to witness that era for yourself.
